We have been hosting our events at Gilroy’s for some time now and the food has always been served hot and delicious and my team and our guests are always served with a friendly smile! I have been in the service industry my entire life, and the service has been above and beyond my expectations! Holden especially; one of the greatest managers we have had the pleasure to work with over the past year. He has such a servants heart and has been spectacular to work with!! Not everyone is tech savvy, but he is always there making sure our events go off without any hitches, glitches or challenges!! We will hosting all of our Money 101 events in the Des Moines area at Gilroy’s!!! Kudos to you and your amazing staff!! Cheers!! What a wonderful spot! I had a delightful ginger salad and my wife had a scrumptious GF Philly cheesesteak sandwich! Top to bottom I have to sing my praises to our waiter Holden! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile ear to ear. We had our 8 month old and he thoroughly enjoyed Holden. Got the ribeye on steak night. It was a thin cut and nothing memorable. The sides were decent. We had to wait 10-15 minutes after being seated before our waiter came to us and took our order for food/drinks. Food didn't take too long to come out, but we didn't see our waiter again for another 40 minutes so none of our drinks got refilled and we had to wait a long time just to pay the bill. I had the pasta jambalaya and really liked it. My wife had the steak and she didn't like it the best but she is kind of picky too. Friends of ours both got the Philly and really enjoyed them as well. So good! The cheese balls were great. The pic of them was taken after we already ate several. Tenderloin was huge, full of flavor, and very tender. Fries were good and nicely cooked. Aaron was an amazing server. His recommendations were spot on. The daily special chicken gyro was tasty and my favorite the Honey bacon Alfredo pizza was the reason I came! Perfect! Even Carl the owner stopped by to talk. I love Gilroys. The construction is an inconvenience yes, driving around the construction is worth it! YES! Brunch is even more worth it!!! Great selection of food, everything we got looked and tasted great! Huge tenderloin, yummy hot chicken and delicious Buffalo BBQ chicken pizza. The cheese curds are 👌🏽Tasty Drinks and friendly service. Large outdoor seating and we had live music (which has its pros and cons depending on how close you are).

Decent bar food for a sports bar type of place. Salad was very good. Breaded veggie sandwich - the breaded patty itself -was quite tasty but could have used more toppings or other flavors. Cheese curds were good. Drinks were pretty basic but priced very fairly. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Our family of 5 had such a great experience at Gilroy's for a Saturday morning brunch. Our server Dominic was the best! The food...oh buddy! I would most certainly recommend the loaded mashed potatoes, corn flake French toast, cinnamon roll bread pudding, and the biscuits and gravy. All of the portions were solid and you can just keep ordering so much! They let you box whatever you don't eat. Highly recommended for the cleanliness, service and atmosphere. Good music as well!
