After a bad experience at my local to me Giant Eagle and also another one nearby and also calling a local baker and writing another only to be treated poorly or not responded to I was about to give up on getting a cake for our special anniversary. My spouse said go to Lancaster and see how they treat you. Last week I walked in and was immediately taken care of with kindness and compassion. Both decorators was awesome to me and made me feel like my order meant something. So I placed the order and canceled it from my local to me store. Today I picked up my cake to be greeted and treated amazingly by not one, not two but three workers in the bakery. The main one being the new girl. She was engaging and interested in my celebration. She made me feel like she cared about what I was celebrating and she seemed to have joy and celebrated with me. Is the cake 100% like my photo no. But it is perfect for me absolutely and not only that it’s because customer service goes a long long ways. I drove 20+ minutes out of my way and back twice and it was worth it. Now as long as it’s white with raspberry filling when we cut into it will be the next question but I have no reason to think it wouldn’t be. The cake was without the flowers and topper. I added them when I got home. It’s beautiful!!
When first receiving my cake i was very upset. The outcome of my cake was not the color i had originally discussed with one of the associates at the bakery. I had showed a picture of my decor/party invites to try and match a sage green. The cake received was more of a lime or grinch green. After speaking with a manager, a cake was rushed and ready for me to pick up in an hour. At this point i just requested the cake be all white so that i wouldn’t have to worry about trying to make sure it would match. I am much happier with the results of the new cake. Jordan was so kind and did an amazing job! She had excellent customer service and was very considerate of my frustration/stress.
