This review is based on appearance.
My wife ordered a simple, 2 tier cake that she decorated herself.
- There cake was not straight at all. Very sloped.
- The icing was not smooth. The picture shows the worst of it, but it was similar around the entire thing.
No idea how it tasted, we didn’t eat any, but even without having tasted it, I can almost guarantee that it was too sweet. When I opened the box, I was smacked in the face with an overwhelming, near sickening, smell of pure sugar. I’m actually glad I didn’t have any. The cake wasn’t the only dessert and ended up being forgotten in the fridge and given to the guests of honor to take home. TBD on the actual taste.
All in all, will not be being any other cakes from this Giant Eagle.

Giant Eagle is my favorite store. It offers a clean, well-stocked environment. A little pricey on some items their weekly specials are really good.
