We were told that Ghezzi's is the epitome of fine dining in the area. However, after two visits, we're left puzzled. The ambiance exudes a dark and dated feel with decor and dinnerware of many bygone decades. The service staff, while nice enough, project a gruffness more akin to a roadside diner and not that of a fine dining destination. The meals themselves are disappointingly bland and lack flavor. It's possible that the appeal of Ghezzi's lies in the "homemade" quality of their dishes, giving off the impression that recipes have been passed down through generations—albeit with a subtle omission of spices by a passive aggressive relative.
All of this at outrageously high prices.
Ghezzi's deserves recognition for consistently drawing a crowd during our two visits. However, the nearby Isabella's, in our opinion, offers superior quality and experience at a comparable price point.

Ate here twice recently. Both times the food was outstanding and the service truly spectacular. Loved the baked seafood imperial casserole as well as the jumbo coconut shrimp with lobster ravioli. Soups, salads, appetizers (fried oysters) and desert (creme brulee) were excellent. Portions are ample and quality high for the price. Service was very attentive (water constantly filled, empty dishes removed) by the friendliest team around. Absolutely worth the drive and highly recommended.

The food was absolutely phenomenal! I had the blackened chicken marsala which was delicious! And my boyfriend had the Italian seafood which had generous portions of various meats, including large buttery scallops! Service was very attentive and friendly, I would highly recommend for date night or special occasions.

My boyfriend and I went out for Valentines tonight. It was absolutely amazing. I could not complain about anything. I appreciate everything, and the food was so good. Thank you again!!!!

We come here often for special occasions, but the prices are certainly good enough to able to enjoy this place on a regular evening. Their specials are so fun, many of their dishes are unique or hard to find in this area. Portions are large, service is fast, drinks are strong.

Ghezzi's is a gem hidden way back in the middle of nowhere. The parking lot is small and is always full; sometimes one must get creative. Despite the enormous amount of people who are always there, we are usually seated immediately owing to the fact that we have a reservation, and the service is always prompt and polite. My go-to dish on their menu is the Shrimp Ghezzi, delicious shrimp with lump crabmeat and hollandaise sauce. I've had others, but this signature dish always keeps me coming back. I LOVE it. I also frequently begin my meal with a cup of the house lobster and shrimp bisque, which contains enormous chunks of seafood. Peroni, my favorite Italian beer, pairs perfectly with my meal, and a delicious espresso with a mini biscotti is an excellent finish. The prices are not cheap, but given the quality of the food, it is reasonable. Go to Ghezzi's, you will not be disappointed! But don't get all whiny and upset if you can't get a table. You should have made a reservation.

Service was average, decent atmosphere, that's the good.
Now, the food is another story!
The special appetizer was crispy pork belly. There was nothing crispy about it.
The salad was soggy, like it had been sitting around for a day or more.
The main course was supposed to be Shrimp and Clams in Fra diavolvo sauce with pasta. The sauce was BY FAR the WORST I've ever been served! It appeared to be nothing more than whole canned tomatoes that were slightly broken up and barely cooked with hot sauce added. It was really little more than water, canned tomatoes and hot sauce.
Don't waste your money to eat here. You can make a week's worth of good home cooked meals, for what you pay for one inferior one here!

My girlfriend and I came here to celebrate our second anniversary. I got recommended this place by a friend. This place did not let me down; IT WAS SO GOOD! I can confidently say that this is the best restaurant that I've ever had in Pennsylvania, and I've been to a lot. Everybody should try this place out especially if you are in the area. I live about 30 minutes away, but I would gladly drive more to eat here. And a side note, this place was not that expensive. The price was 100% worth it! Especially when compared to other expensive restaurants.
Here is a list of all the food we got and a rating:
Bread (starter, free): 10/10. SO GOOD! Most places, including very expensive restaurants, will give you plain bread with some special olive oil. But, here the bread was AMAZING! The bread had toppings such as cheese, garlic, butter and possibly more that made the taste so good. The bread was also very soft. If I could change one that it would be to have special olive oil (like with a variety of herbs)
Spicy Shrimp Marinette Vegetables: 10/10. This app was such an amazing choice. We both LOVED it so much. The sauce was so sweet (not spicy at all for some reason) and tasted SOO GOOD. The shrimp was cooked to perfect crispiness and the vegetables were cooked soft and tender.
Blackened Tenderloin Tips Diane with Scallops: 10/10. The pasta was super good. I loved the quality of the beef they used. Sometimes I have very chewy tips, despite being cooked to a med rare. But here the tips were cooked so perfectly. Also to a perfect med rare. The scallops were also cooked so nicely. With the crust being browned while maintaining a super soft interior. I loved this dish a lot!
Fettuccine Alfredo: My GF had this one so I do not know the specific rating. But I could tell she loved it.
Overall, if you are debating about coming here, you should just come. The food here is truly amazing. I enjoyed this place and I will be coming back soon.
