In from out of town, questioned a food truck in the beer garden of the next door sports bar. Garcia had friendly staff, fast service. I waited maybe 5 mins. Had the sliders, hat trick w/pickles and sauce. Was not disappointed. All three really tasty. And three bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers on the side brought some smoky heat to the ensemble. These guys catered a wedding I went to. They had plates with sausage, brisket, rice and beans. They were serving tables one by one. We were one of the last tables to be served. They were a little skimpy on the portions for the plates. I was an expecting a little more. I got 1/2 a sausage link, which was very good and not over cooked. The brisket did not have any smoke flavor at all. You could tell the rub was a simple salt and pepper. I expected better and it was cooked a tad bit too long. It did fall apart, but was overcooked. The rice was good. The beans had a good flavor; but, it looked like they used too much Manteca as you could see it thickening up the beans. I was not sure what I was expected when I got the plate. I had never heard of this place before. I know when you are cooking for a large amount of people it is hard to control quality. They could use a little help with their brisket. I suggest using a different brisket rub and wrapping it butcher paper 2 hours before you are supposed to pull it off and put it back in the smoker. Idk how this bbq place has high ratings food is bland no smoke flavor to brisket or flavor. Pulled pork bland bland n yes u guessed it bland!! For $25 is a rip off specially NO FLAVOR!! Sausage wrap with a plastic tortilla Could have got better nachos at Taco Cabana. Don’t waste your $$$. You want flavor food or brisket nachos PIGPEN HAND DOWN ALL AROUND. All in all that brisket that they sell was really good I had and some tacos and it hit the spot I should’ve only ordered one but then I went for the nachos the half and half I believe they had brisket and pulled pork but I got to say they were a definite skip felt like a waste of money. Something I do not recommend. Order the brisket but you can skip the nachos. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The very BEST BBQ I’ve had in the longest time. We were visiting from Sacramento, CA. I selected the establishment because I like to support Latin owned businesses, plus the reviews were great; they did not disappoint. The owners/staff were personable and they remembered our names. We ate there 3 out of 6 days while in San Antonio. We highly recommend this great food eatery and we wish the owners continued success. I had a luncheon for my friends and by luck stumbled upon Garcia Barbecue. Needless to say, it was a huge hit! Not only was the brisket extraordinary, the pulled pork and sausage were just as enjoyable. We also ordered the cream corn and charro beans. Gotta say they were also exceptional. The biggest thing to note are the hours and location. This is a food truck that is to the left of the front of the bar. Also, check the web for hours. By far the best bbq (we went to the top 6 places), we tried while in San Antonio, and we both had the brisket sausage and pulled pork sandwich. Great balance of flavors with the smoked Queso supporting but not overwhelming the meat flavors. By far, the way a bbq sandwich should taste this is great. We also had the nachos, and they were also very delicious. I don't think you could have a bad meal here. The staff and owner were awesome and even visited and discussed my favorite subject BBQ!!!!! If I lived closer this would be a regular weekend outing. My husband loves the nachos!! He even got one to go for a midnight snack. I got the brisket sandwich which was very soft, tender and delicious! They do not skimp either on the amount of brisket they put on there. 🍽🍴 My daughter ate her entire pulled pork sandwich and my 2 year old dug into a chicken drumstick. It's very hard to get her to eat so I was thrilled she filled her tummy. Great service! Veteran owned 🇺🇲 and in such a lovely location 👌 😊 😀 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner
