That's not the same Sangak we have in Iran. The taste is not good. To be honest, I have bought about 12 breads. After two days of keeping them in the freezer, the smell and taste changed.
Very bad quality.

I come from Brooklyn to Gandom to buy sangak and other Persian products. The owner is very nice and friendly. I hope to go another time during the week to buy other products like Barberi bread and home cooked food.

Not happy with the quality recently. I have been shopping from this store since they started. Quality of the bread was really good before they do the whole renovation and re-opening. Recently I experienced getting dry breads in the middle of my order. I shopped from here the past weekend and after I got to the store and said the number of the breads I want, it took a short time to prepare my order. The 5 that I wanted came in 3 separate wraps. I didn’t realize that any breads were dry at the time but when I got home and start cutting and packing them I saw that 3 of the breads were very dry and one was burns almost by 20%. Probably I received couple of orders from earlier that day which was left in the store.
It’s hard to find sangaak or even a Persian specialty mart in general so I am so happy this place is here and the sangaak is so good! Plus they sell all the good stuff like maast mousir

Gandom has the best sangak, persian groceries and customer service. We have been going to the store for years and they are always friendly and helpful.
I’ve been a customer of Gandom Bakery for a few years. They offer variety of delicious Persian breads, their Sangak bread is just the best.I always buy 10 Sangak (you have to call and order in advance) and save in freezer. Warm up a couple of slices in the morning and it goes nicely with Feta cheese, walnuts and Persian tea. They also sell all sorts of items required for a Persian kitchen, including spices, nuts, dried herb, pickles, Persian tea, you name it. Great customer service and hospitality too. They always deliver high quality of products with reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
You can find here freshly baked Sangak (for $5) like nowhere else! If you want more than 5 sangak bread, try to order it by phone 2-3 hours beforehand to minimize the waiting.
They also bake fresh Barbari (2 for $5) and Taftoon (5 for 5$).
They also will deliver more than 10 sangak bread and will charge for shipping cost, but if you are living far in any NY boroughs, Long Island or neighbor states, it would worth it.
Gandom bakery offers the finest sangak bread available, along with a wide range of essential ingredients for preparing Persian or Mediterranean cuisine.
The quality of their bread(Sangak, Barbari, Taftoun,…) is just great! way better than what we have had in anywhere else (even Iran). And it is not just the bread! Mrs. Javadi is a kind and caring lady who never let anyone miss any order. She is the best!
Call them in advance if you want fresh bread! there are also other stuff being sold in store that you may be interested in (Iranian, middle eastern, …)
