Simply incredible. Best seafood I've ever had in my life legitimately. This would be my death row meal. I got the stuffed shrimp and she got the combination plater with mahi. Desert was the famous pecan pie. They aren't kidding, it's simply amazing. Great service. Some feedback would be that the Atmosphere was a little jammed and the cocktail menu could use some better/unique options. The bloody Mary was also amazing. We were so excited to eat here as we were referred by family. We brought another couple. Between all of us. We order the scallops x2 , oysters, and salmon, all Four people felt like the food was So salty we could eat it. I never complain about food. But this was 100% aweful. They took $20 off our $130 bill and not once did a manager come to our table to ask about the issue. When leaving, I approached the “manager” and she told me she knew nothing. (However my husband saw her talking to our server immediately after leaving our table.) I am all about understanding issues but it’s unacceptable for management to not talk to a consumer when they KNOW there has been an issue. We were told that there’s new kitchen staff soooo, I suggest NOT EATIMG HERE UNTIL THINGS CHANGE.It truly put a damper on the start of our vacation. We arrived at Gaidos, because we could not find room elsewhere. I must say that at first we thought we had made the wrong choice, we had to wait in an ante room (bar) until a table was free and we ordered a drink. The lady attending this area had no idea what she was doing...so much so that both drinks were left almost untouched. When our table was ready the experience began, the waiter's attention was impeccable, not invasive at all, allowing us to have a pleasant conversation and enjoy the music. We ordered a first course to share and wine. In addition to a menu for our son, in all cases he advised us very well and we enjoyed impeccable flavors and really tasty dishes, so much so that there was nothing left to take away. I was very eager to try other dishes so we will return some weekend before it gets crowded for the vacations. It is a place you have to visit if you want to, its history and its great quality of service and food deserve it. I highly recommend it! But don't order drinks at the bar, wait until you are at the table and order a good glass of wine, they have an excellent wine cellar. I was visiting my friend in Texas (I'm from Vancouver, Canada), and we went on a girls trip to Galveston for the weekend. On our last night there, we went to Gaidos. The food was amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our server, Celine, was incredible! She made the experience stand out for us from other places. I had the seafood pasta, and alot of chocolate Godiva Martini's. Everything was perfect, I cant stay enough good things. Will definitely be back on our next trip! 4.5 stars Gaidos has some parking out front on seawall side. It's a very large restaurant that requires reservations during prime times. Sat in bar area after walking in and was served by bar tender. Attentive and nice. The oysters were great! The combination dinner has choices of catfish, Mahi Mahi, and snapper with prices increases for each. The shrimp was different from anything I've ever had and was good. The scallops and fish were great. It was a good meal. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $50–100 Recommended dishes Raw Oysters on the Half Shell
