Found this hidden gem on a trip through Missouri. Amazing Catfish. The cold slaw was delicious, comparable to KFC . We will definitely stop here again next time . Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Catfish Sandwich
Frumpy Joe’s was just delicious. I had the catfish sandwich, Cole slaw and tea. The catfish was so lightly breaded with cornmeal all I tasted was the fish, tartar sauce was homemade, and the Cole slaw was sweet and delicious as well. My husband had the build your own burger, with pepper jack cheese, lettuce and tomato. He also got crinkle cut sweet potato fries (delicious). He throughly enjoyed his food as well. 1-70 is a food dessert no more, please stop at this sweet restaurant and get something good to eat! And bonus, the owner Alex and his staff were all wonderful. Frumpy’s is a super cute place. My only regret is I didn’t have room to try something they have called a Gooey Butter Cake. Next time, I will! Great local diner with good food. Can't go wrong with any of the burgers. Onion rings are great house made and the loaded tots or potato skins very good. Don't pass this up when you're passing through! I usually get the "you're not from around here" frown when I stop by small town establishments; but not here! I was greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. I had a Guinness and the reuben. The reuben was excellent and the fries were fresh and crispy. The prices were very reasonable. I'm very glad I drove back up the road 8 miles for this! I highly recommend! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Fries
Just diving by just won't do. Go head and pull off 70. You won't regret it. The staff is wonderful and anticipated our needs. Both the Rubin and the not so sloppy Joe were fantastic. I am impressed with the quality and how much is made in house. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Frumpy Burger

Nice cozy feel for casual dining. I had a salad per my mood and it hit the spot with the egg added. I LOVE ranch and egg. Plus bacon. Yum. Got something for everyone. Fried mozzarella cheese was yummy...but I can't eat much fried foods. Body can't handle. But a little to taste is great. Friendly staff and clean facility. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This place is a hidden gem just a short jump off the highway - totally worth the stop if you are passing by. I had the homemade chicken gumbo and it was as good as gumbo I had in Louisiana! I also got a buffalo chicken sandwich with blue cheese - AMAZING! Freshly battered and fried, it was probably the best chicken sandwich I have had. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. I will certainly stop back on my return. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Chicken Sandwich
Stopped in for lunch. My husband found it through Google on our road trip through the area. Scratch made food. Cute and clean inside. Excellent friendly service. Daily specials. I'm already regretting not buying a t-shirt. "With a little luck and GPS I found Frumpy Joe's". Hubby had one of the daily specials - a 3 cheese double bacon burger. Fresh beef patties on grilled bread. Perfectly melted and delicious. He said the Cole slaw is perfect. I had a catfish sandwich. Hand breaded to order. Was piping hot all the way through. We tried the bread pudding with caramel sauce and it was so good. A perfect sweet treat to end the meal. Highly recommend. Only a half mile off I-70. There is a bar inside as well. Worth the trip!
