I pre-ordered the babka and reserved a pick-up time together, the process was fast and easy, and it belied the ostentatious quality of the item. Babka is a delicacy and niche dessert loaf that isn't easy to make or find, and this one is great - firm, yet moist, with the chocolate ribbons with proper amount of softness and proportion to the whole. Thin sliced, this babka would be at home at a Traditional New York bakery or ethnic deli or diner, and that is about the highest compliment I could give it. I have tasted all the bread, a part from jalapeño cheese and the bagels. They are superfresh, look great and are very filling and healthy! Lasts much longer than bread from other bakeries. Highly recommend it. Don’t but the babka unless you can share it immediately. Cause otherwise you will eat the whole thing. ☺️ Service Take out Meal type Other Price per person kr 100–200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I'm Italian and I come from a region (Sicily) where bread is very tasty even without ham, jam or else; living 9 years in Oslo have brought me to many different bakeries and regardless of the fact that bakeries are really good as well, I couldn't really say they would be like Frogner Kitchen bakery. For the first time I can say that I found something better than italian bread.
The best bread I have ever eaten. Recently I placed my first order through Mai's website. I ordered a lot, since everything seemed so yummy and I had family visiting, so figured we'll eat it, or I'll just freeze the rest. We ate most. And everyone loved it. The jalapeño cheddar bread, baguettes, bagels, BROWNIE, soft loaf, babka. The soft loaf I actually froze, and then unfreezed a couple of weeks later. Still tasted amazing. I was also very surprised when after like a week it didn't have any mold on! When I buy bread from the store the mold shows up after 3-4 days. Mai's products are so high quality, you can really taste it. I highly recommend trying, you will for sure get hooked!!! I can't wait for the next occasion to order some goodies!!
The best and tastiest bread in Oslo! May is such an amazing baker, her bread is just out of this world. Have tasted most of them and must say - everything is so damn delicious!
I´m the biggest fan of Frogner´s kitchen. It is my favourite place in Oslo to buy homemade bread. Super tasty and excellent bread selection. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for delicious bread. Look no further.
