In a blink of an eye, one can miss this jewel nestled between the mountains on Route 62. The owners of Frikkie se Gat have created a Farmstall that will cater for every need. A Pub will soon follow, I am told. This will become a regular spot to stop at when I'm on Route 62. Very impressed with my Nepalese Poncho.
Enjoyed the stop over here. Nice spacious shop with plates, jams, pots, books, antiques, and more, see pictures attached. The place is clearly visible and near the main road so you won't miss it. Friendly atmosphere and made a new friend right there at the bar. He told me the place gets busy with bikers, local farmers and holiday makers. Don't drive past without stopping here, even if it is to browse.
Wonderful place to take a break traveling on the R62 to Oudtshoorn. Browse through some oddities in the shop or enjoy an ice cold beverage.
The entrance is a little off-putting.
We could not enter, because we arrived with a small Foxie - some lady just called out "Meneer ons het pit bulls, THREE of them!" So we got back in our vehicle and left🙁
