I had a bad experience at Taipei Gourmet so gave this place a shot. Overall it was pretty good with a few weird disappointments, mainly that the noodles for the lo mein and spicy beef noodle soup were very fettuccine-like…they were quite firm and not very tasty/appetizing compared to softer noodles. The braised pork was very good but only had 5 pieces of meat. The soup/juicy dumplings were also very good.
We feel that this is very authentic. We love the dim sum menu. The mini juicy pork buns are the best. However, better to have does quick so as to no loose any juice. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Crab Rangoon

All the food was great. I got delivery they sent utensils and plates which was very much appreciated. Going to order again. Service Delivery Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Sauce
Huge menu selection. The food looks appealing and tastes just as good. Gluten free and Vegetarian were well marked on the menu. Easy to get to. Parking is somewhat problematic. Worth a return trip. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Great place for takeaway. Lots of selection and some traditional Chinese options. Love the 3Cup meals and sesame red bean balls. Food: 4 Service: 4
Look at the picture below, they call it diced chicken with hot pepper sauce( 辣子鸡丁)By the way, no hot at all, and it is not dry fired chicken. The entire dish went to the trash. I want to tell the owner, if you donot know what 辣子鸡丁 is supposed to be, you can use another name. Do not fool your client. I wish I have never tried to order something I never ordered before. The waitress ( a young lady, never saw her in the past) was busy with her phone and no idea if my take out was ready or not. The plastic box was not sealed and the paper bag was not wrapped by a plastic bag like other restaurant. Oil and source was everywhere in the bag and my car’s seat. Now I have to find a place to clean my car. It is time to find a new restaurant, I think.

A disgusting place for a human to eat. NOT recommended at all. It is a 100% Chinese restaurant. The owner tried to call him Taiwanese/Formosa(Colony name). It is so disgusting! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
We live nearby so we eat here often. Most of the time, it’s okay. Not the best, not the worst, but when you’re hungry and need a quick meal, it satisfies. The mapo tofu is usually nice. But tonight’s dinner, half the dishes are as we expected, but the other half was just awful. The soup tastes like water mixed with pepper, that’s all you taste and the tofu and the mushrooms is there as visuals but it doesn’t taste like anything. The filling of the spring roll taste off and bad, and the outside was very soggy. The eggplant has undissolved, globs of cornstarch slurry and it’s just this giant pieces of slime mixed in the dish. The chef here probably knows how to cook, but either there’s some incompetent line cooks or the chef just doesn’t pay attention at all and produce very inconsistent food here. Disappointed and will avoid from now

I have loved this place for many years and thought its about time I wrote a review. This Chinese restaurant has some of the most authentic, highest quality Chinese food in the area. Our family lived in China for a year back in 1996 and the cooking techniques remind me more than any other other Chinese restaurant in the area of the food in we were able to get in China. For example, Chinese Pea Shoots (Dou Miao), delicately stir-fried with garlic are often available for the asking and the Sautéed Shanghai Greens and Sautéed String Beans are also excellent. One thing we often miss in completely Americanized Chinese restaurants are the vegetables...we can get what we crave, skillfully cooked, at Formosa Taipei. Another dish that I can never get enough of is the Ko-Cha Dish, a magical combination of pork, squid, dried tofu with vegetables and a spicy black bean sauce...I feel I'm right back there in China with this one. I enjoy many of the appetizers as well such as the delicate various Steamed Dumplings, pork being a favorite of course but I also much enjoy the shrimp and vegetarian, the key being here that the dumpling skins are not overly thick as is often the case in some restaurants here. Also the Salt and Pepper Chicken is not to be missed; spicy and salty but not saucy. I've saved the best for last, the Spicy Noodles in Soup with Beef Sirloin. This dish is incredible. They must slow-cook the meat for many, many hours to tenderize it so and to make such a good soup stock; its just incredible. I have never had its equal anywhere else. Most restaurants seem to just shave some beef into the soup and cook it a little. If you have ever made stock and/or stew you'll know that this will not give you a satisfying broth. These are just examples. I continue to find new things I much enjoy on the menu. I strongly recommend picking at least something from the Authentic Traditional Chinese section. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
I've ordered from here twice now, both times were good. I particularly enjoy the house special lo mein; its not too greasy, and has a decent portion of each meat and has a decent amount of veggies too. Edit 1 year later: I still get food here regularly. I've been ordering the hot pots lately, they're pretty good.
