Love the food city store but asecery himself being does complain about the prices besides that awesome
I’m tired of seeing dogs inside the grocery cart it all to be against the rules in your store dogs cannot clean their selves and it’s obvious the people won’t clean them either. I think I’m going to start going to a store that does not allow dogs in there. I really like Foodcity except for that fact about it and it’s not just Foodcity but I will find one that does not allow dogs or cats in there. They are not support animals.
Ordered groceries for pick-up and husband noticed they forgot an item. When he reviewed the receipt someone had charged almost $70 of hamburger meat in which we didn’t order nor did we receive. Obviously, that’s not just a mistake. He did get a refund for that but the when we returned to our cabin we found they had also forgotten another item as well. You expect orders to be correct if you are being charged a pick up fee.
Food City is a very clean and well-stocked store. Reputation for friendly service is well-known. Their meat and produce departments live
I like Food City, and prices do seem reasonable, unlike Publix and Kroger. However, the one big fault is the odd way they have checkout registers setup. You bring your carriage into the left side and then you go to the right side, and they swap out carriages. Yes, I know that is how Costco does it, too. But it does not seem to run as smoothly. Of course it could be because their checkout computers are very antiquated, Food City needs a major tech upgrade.

This is not my favorite Food City. I prefer the Food City out on Newport Highway. This store doesn't keep the salad bar stocked. Yesterday, the Ranch salad dressing jar was empty, the iceberg lettuce was looking old, and there were no eggs. All it takes is a quick check to ensure that the salad bar is stocked.

Theiir claw machines are entirely unreasonable. I perfectly nailed every angle, every position, even got one of the legs of the claws all legged up in one of the octopuses legs that would be entirely impossible to fall if the claw didn't let go a little and shake violently like a chihuahua on crack during a blizzard when it hits the top. I'm never buying grocery store sushi here again.

A Clean, Convenient, well organized store with a wonderful deli and bakery. Have never had a bad experience. The clerks are friendly and efficient. And they look clean and well groomed. The Pharmacy is always well stocked and again, very convenient. They even have my bank branch. A big plus. Overall, I'd rate this and all the other Food City stores I have been in a perfect 10. LB.
Workers there are always so rude!!! It seems it’s always the ones at checkout. Went thru checkout & I had to press the Call Attendant button…. There was another 2 customers at the self checkout buying alcohol so they were also waiting. Finally got someone just to tell me that’s not my job, it’s that lady over there & just walked off. The lady came by not paying attention to anything going on & was putting stuff away. Had to say excuse me ma’am twice & when she finally looked up I said are you working over here? She was so rude & said yes. She made it seem like I bother & interrupted her. Don’t understand if you want to be bothered on doing what you’re supposed to do, why even work with the public. Never going back there again. I’ve had enough of workers being rude!!!
I stopped here around 11:40pm on a Tuesday night to get some disposable pans to bake cookies and dish detergent to wash dishes as I was visiting from out of town. This store reminds of a store called Harris Teeter from where I’m from (NC). This store was the only grocery store open until midnight. Walmart still closes at 11pm. What I thought was interesting was that they had live lobsters. It reminded me of old Walmart days, lol. The store was mostly empty. They were in the middle of restocking as well, as there were boxes everywhere on the aisles. I did find what I was looking for. They have a rewards/membership program that give you a cheaper price. They have a pharmacy, deli, bakery, and Starbucks inside. They made announcements of closing at 11:45, 11:50, and 11:50. They made it clear that you had to be checked out by midnight. I checked out via self checkout. I don’t believe any regular registers were open. Overall, not bad. I did wish there was the option to sign up for their program via checking out.
