Best dining experience in Chitral. Nestled away from the city centre, near the air port and Hindukash Heights (associated hotel) the restaurant has a limited menu but good taste. The parked plane and the tree swings are an added attraction for the kids. Highly recommended for anyone planning to go to Chitral. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person Rs 2,000–2,500 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I really loved the dining experience of this restaurant. Ordered club sandwiches and french fries. They served fresh and hot food. The ambiance of this restaurant was very artistic and unique. They also serve their customers with complimentary fresh apricots. Although the visiting time of the fokker plane was over, i requested the owner and he was so kind and friendly that he opened the Plane for my kids again. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person Rs 1,000–1,500 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Burger
Good place. Decent ambiance. Good food. Excellent service. The only con was that the lights kept flickering and there was no ventilation. They didn't inform us that they charge 10% service charges. Thats a whole lot. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person Rs 5,000+ Recommended dishes Chicken Boneless Handi
Courteous staff, beautiful decor and an overall ambience which is delightfully engaging. Rates are a bit high, particularly compared to alternative establishments, and the food may seem a trifle underseasoned to the exacting Pakistani palate, but the overall experience is definitely worth a try. The Fokker itself has been beautifully revamped into a seating area (gets a bit stuffy on account of it being a plane with no air vents) and the grape vines festooned around fruit trees in the immediate vicinity add a charming touch. The staff is both friendly and well-trained and the layout showcases the music and handicrafts of Chitral proper. The overall feeling is of a charming little nook (space is a bit limited and they have only one room to let/rent) hidden away in a lush green garden, beautifully maintained. Kudos on the effort that's gone into this!
This restaurant offers delicious and hygienic food . The staff is professional. A garden restaurant, the very first of its kind in Chitral , which had been named after the Dutch Fokker aircraft which served the people of the area for over 50years until it was phased out by PIA who owned a fleet of a dozen such aircrafts. One Fokker Friendship AP-AUR got grounded in Chitral in 2004 and now sits among fruit trees in this restaurant proudly looking at the people visiting the restaurant.
Overall good restaurant....Food was very tasty and upto the mark....They also have an old Fokker plane in there lawn...
Fokker Friendship Restaurant is situated on University of Chitral, (Garam Chasma) Road, near Singur Bridge. It can be easily accessible if one is going to Garam Chasma or District Upper Chitral. The environment of the restaurant is very pleasant, calm and cool. Children are very fond of the restaurant because of the Folker Plane that accidentally slipped off during landing and now it is retired and kept on display for people. It offers a variety of healthy food, prices are affordable. It lacks car parking, and has to park their cars outside on the narrow road. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person Rs 1–500 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
Food doesn't taste that well but the ambiance makes it a must visit
