Nestled just beyond Wellington on the way to Paarl and the N1, the Florida Padstal is a delightful roadside stop. Their menu boasts tempting options like cheesecake, meat pastries, and tasty jaffles—all at affordable prices. The outdoor space, once a vibrant nursery, is a haven for children, featuring free-roaming farm chickens and geese. However, the exterior shows signs of neglect, particularly in the former nursery area, highlighting untapped potential. It's unfortunate that the Padstal may be overlooked by many, possibly due to the impression that it isn't readily open for business. With some attention, it could truly shine. Enjoyed the time there! A real farm-like feel with the animals roaming around... Love the MILKSHAKES! My chicken may pie, chips 🍟 and salad was super Nice!! 👌 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person R 100–150 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Chicken Mayo
Most amazing breakfast with home made bread! I had french toast with syrup and bacon, awesome! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person R 50–100 Recommended dishes French Toast
Definite value for money. The pies look amazing but are a little dry, and the crust is overpowering the filling somewhat. Might be ok if they come fresh from the oven, but warmed up, it was a bit of a letdown. Good selection of real homemade stuff…not the usual items that you find at most farmstalls. It is odd, but I really laaik walking into a place where I have dance music in my ears. Although it is my imagination, I keep playing Flo rida in my head. Which puts a MASSIVE smile on my face, making me buy MORE!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Absolutely love it there. The best venison pie. Excellent service, friendly staff. Sitting outdoors under the trees on a beautiful summer's day. Magical
Service was very poor. One of the waiters lay on her arms in front of the customers on the table where the food is prepare for the cusomers. Only one waiter to serve a lot of cutomers. We left because we could not wait longer.⁸
It was the worst place we ever stop. The lady's is not friendly and the coffee was cold.Wont stop there again. The animals walks in camps without grass and no food. I stop with overseas visitor's. Meal type Other Price per person R 1–50
I was today there and I was very dissapointed with service, i always bring my kids there and family kids with to feed the animals and buy goodies by shop like butter and cake but i never buy by restuarant because its not halaal, but i was upset because i have 4 kids and 3 of them are autistic and they only eat certain foods, my boys only eat chicken and peanut butter and we asked if they could eat there by tables before we buy the animal feed so i bought them KFC and was told they cant eat there, i thought they would at least make an acception for this request because we were the only people there and becoz my kids are not normal and even though i think that we were treated unjustly we still supported the shop which we always do. To discriminate against kids that cant even talk was very sad for me because its already difficult to take them places where they can feel safe and accepted and then the shopkeeper asked " she thinks its very strange that my boys only eat KFC as if i was lying i iether buy them KFC or i have to fry the chicken myself like that and they want the same thing everyday thats is just how my boys are so i wasnt lying. They autistic they have certain taste buds and repetitive behavior. We had to leave so they could eat at home i thought i was going to give them a treat to feed animals.
