Here for tomahawk Tuesday. Very impressed. So much food for the price. We couldn’t finish the tomahawk or two sides. Ended up taking half the meal home. Fantastic. The espresso martini was next level. One of the best recipes. We’re have it with Don Julio blanco instead of vodka. Muy bueno. Just so much food. The service was great. The oysters were great. I’ll definitely come back. The steaks are truly prime. Wish I took better pictures. Everything was top notch. It was all wonderful! We had the two for Tuesday and got wonderful steaks. The salads were great and the sides are outstanding. The desserts were exquisite. My only complaint is the tomato in the salads was over ripe and the strawberry on the cheese cake was limp and obviously too ripe. I would expect those to be fresh and not left over from days ago. *Update* Our return visit was not great. My wife’s steak was undercooked. Came out rare, when she ordered it medium rare. My steak was cooked right, but was barely warm. It had zero crust at all. By the time they brought my wife’s steak back, we had already eaten mine. One piece of hers was well done, the other was cooked right and had nice crust after the refire. Our main course took 35 mins to get out after we had finished our appetizer. For the appetizer, we had the pork belly. It was all fat, and wasn’t properly seared. Not worth getting at all. Overall I’m disappointed with our steaks, because they cost so much. I will NOT be returning to Flemmings. There are much better steakhouses in the area. *Original Review* Overall we had a great meal. They have a good wine selection, and the food was above average. We started with the tuna appetizer. This was probably our favorite thing. Highly recommended. We had the main filet Oscar style which was really good and cooked to order. The Flemmings potatoes were good, not great. The Brussels sprouts were disappointing. Not crispy at all, but the sauce was good. The big downside were the gnats flying around our table all night. It was a huge turnoff since we were dining at a nice steakhouse. This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I probably wont go back because of the flies constantly bothering us during our meal. What a disappointment. Never been there before but heard lots of great feedback from other people. Going to the brand but not that specific location . The food was horrible. I went there for a birthday celebration for my girlfriend cousin I ordered the scallops , they were small And burned on north side the mushroom were good , the cream of spinach was flavorless and strings of spinach were in it it was obvious they used frozen product . The scallop potato tasted ok but more in the salty side . Never saw a manager to check on how everything was . Based on that I surly would not go back .. Not worth the $$$$ Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
I generally dine at certain restaurants for specific reasons, Flemings being their tomahawk. However, I doubt we will be returning. It looks like Flemings has jumped on the more for bandwagon. What I received as a $99 tomahawk was barely 2 fingers thick, and I have small fingers. Their sides are also now the same way. The tomahawk is something you would find in Krogers precut isle. Service was, as always, top-notch. For Flemings to categorize this as a tomahawk should be an embarrassment. I was absolutely disappointed, it wasn't even close to prior expectations. I had the pleasure of dining at Fleming's restaurant recently, where I ordered the majestic 38-ounce Tomahawk steak. From the moment it was presented at the table, the steak was a marvel to behold—cooked to perfection with a tempting, charred exterior and a succulent, pink interior that promised a feast for the senses. Slicing into it revealed its tender juiciness, each cut releasing a fragrant aroma that heralded the quality of the meat. The flavor was exquisite; a symphony of savory notes with a hint of smokiness that captured the essence of premium, well-aged beef. Expertly seasoned, the steak required no additional condiments to enhance its natural, robust taste. A noteworthy mention must be made of the impeccable service that complemented the meal. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that the fine dining experience was seamless. Pairing the steak with a recommended vintage from their extensive wine list proved to be an excellent choice, elevating the flavors to new heights. In summary, Fleming's delivered an unforgettable culinary journey with their Tomahawk steak—an indulgence I would recommend to any connoisseur seeking the pinnacle of steakhouse cuisine.
