I went for dinner on a Saturday night with my friend. Our reservation was for 6:30, it was a little busy when we got there but not too bad. I got the shrimp and grits and she got the Red Snapper. The shrimp and grits were very good, the red snapper on the hand wasn't the best. It didn't have much flavor and she said that she would order the shrimp and grits next time. For drinks I got an ol smoky which was very good and an orange spritz which was borderline gross. The orange was super overpowering to the point that it tasted like cough syrup. My friend got sangria, it was okay not sweet at all though. For dessert we got pumpkin bread pudding which we were told by the waiter that it was the best dessert on the menu and was a seasonal item. It was good but nothing special. Our main issue was that the service was extremely slow. Our waiter was nice but his visits to the table were far between. The food came out relatively fast but when we went to order dessert we were told that it was a platter and not a menu. It took probably about 10 minutes for our waiter to bring out the selection. After we ordered, it took about 30 minutes to get our dessert. When it finally came, we didn't have any silverware and were told that they would grab some for us. We waited for at least 10 minutes and no one came (which sucked having the dessert in front of us and not being able to eat it). Eventually I had to go inside and ask at the bar for forks. Our waiter came to check on us around 10 minutes after that. I'm hoping that this was just an unlucky experience, and the service is not always like this. We both would love to go back and try some of the other items on the menu, but the service is definitely a turn off.
