This what a local southern diner looks like. I doubt it gets any more local than this place. It has been in business since 2003 or so. Yes, I asked. We went around lunch time. After we sat and ordeired the beverages we walked up to the buffet and a nice lady plated our food for us. They have good food but it's a little over salty. Service is great. They do have breakfast and we plan on visiting for that on a Saturday morning. Definitely worth a visit. I do wish they had more chicken options as well. I took my best friend here for breakfast today and it was perfect. Kathy was our server and she was soooo nice. She brought a pice of cake for my friend and we whisper sang happy birthday cause my friend hates attention and she was so attentive. A great little place! We both had the Hungry Man Special and he added a Bacon Egg and Cheese. The Special comes with 2 hotcakes, 2 eggs, grits, gravy toast or biscuit and your choice of bacon, livermush, sausage or bologna. Tea or coffee to drink all for $8.99. He's a big eater and ordered a Bacon Egg and Cheese on the side. Everything was delicious. I'm not sure which was better the biscuits or hospitality. Would definitely recommend Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $1–10

Love the diner feel. Diner taste. Diner prices. Diner service. Can get great food great service and don't have to mortgage your house. Will always be first choice for breakfast. This place is full of regulars, friends, & family. I went during Saturday breakfast buffet. My husband and I really enjoyed our breakfast. The buffet was $8.99. We picked items off the menu eating for less than buffet value. The staff was great, checking on us often. People did have to wait due to the popularity of buffet. The biscuits are homemade & mouthwatering! The inside is huge, still not big enough. We will definitely be back. We felt very welcome here.

Ohhhh I wanted it to be good. As a fan of breakfast foods, I am always on the lookout for a place that does it right. Cracker Barrel is a go to when all else fails. (Even sometimes they fail) I ordered the city ham with two eggs over hard. As you can see from the pic...it wasn't over hard, not with that much drippy yoke oozing out. (I got grossed out by the ooze) The ham was good. The Man got the big breakfast special & we split the pancakes. The pancakes were a bit chewy & had a denseness I didn't like. He made disturbing noises while eating the sausage, so it passed muster. The bacon was very chewy. The food came out warm...not hot..& really cooled down from there. Yes, this was a snow day in Gastonia but its not that big of a room & it wasn't that cold in there. There was a good mix of people on a cold day & that says something. The service was good..no complaints there...the coffee was tasty rather than having a burnt aftertaste.. Wasn't wow'd...

greasy food, hash browns floating in oil, no taste, when we walked in most of the tables were left dirty, chose your own seating but wooden bench were full of food crumbs, bathrooms dirty. The waiters never came to our table to ask how the food was! When we went to pay and shared our experience they wouldn’t change us.
