Great food! The exterior looks very sketchy, but George, the chef is a great guy and an amazing chef. Everyone with us loved their order. Hidden gem!

It’s a must visit. No question. Incredible food. Great música en vivo. Excelente example of a sustainable and eco friendly business
This was our first time at the grill and the food didn’t disappoint. It was maybe a touch more expensive than I would have liked although it sounded like George would have cooked me a lunch item even though it was dinner. He just said it would take longer. The ambiance and service were very good although it was strange to be served by his young daughter. She was good though!
Had a great experience here. Not all staff speaks English but there is English written menus on the wall so you can point if you need to. Cosy laid back environment. All focus goes into the food which is exquisite. All fruit and veg sourced from the garden and the tuna I ordered was being freshly delivered before being cooked. The sauce was delicious as were the vegetables. Also had pineapple and mango upside-down cake with ice cream which again was exquisite. Definitely eat here if you are in Boquete.
Food was delicious! We got into town after lunch time and were the only ones here but they seemed happy enough to still serve us. Had a bit of a language issue with ordering, but George intervened and... oh my gosh, so delicious! Had a half chicken on top of salad... chicken was succulent and had a good flavor. They made a ceviche mixto to order, I think, and it was delicious. Place is fun and funky and we will go back!
The location, grounds, setting, and ambience are TOP notch. But I can not in good conscience give five stars because the kitchen and food-prep areas are so unsanitary. I’m not a 3-star kind of gal, and I hate feeling like I may ding a business owner, but this is honest. I want you to take care of yourselves.
You can buy food at many local restaurants and food truck, but you can cannot find an experience like the Fireside. It's like going to a hidden rustic kitchen far away in the French countryside. There is room for at best a tight 15 inside with a few tables outside overlooking a brisk running stream. There are ducks walking about and come to find out, much of dinner comes right from grounds--including duck. For $15 you can get among other choices, a five course meal served by the owner/chef George's daughters in the light of an open fire stove. After the primary meal is served don't be surprised if George exits the kitchen, cranks on the sound system and belts out some Credence. I'll certainly come back
Don't judge a book by its cover. The food is amazing. George, the owner, is an awesome guy. He cooks with lots of passion and love. Service Dine in Meal type Other
