I truly wanted to love Fireside BBQ. This was the second time we tried the food here. The first time was takeout and it's about a 15-minute drive home, so the food was not super hot. I decided I wouldn't review until we dined in. Sadly, our take out cold pulled pork sandwiches were much better than our dine in meals.
I got the loaded baked potato with brisket. It came cold, very dry, and somehow I got all the fatty parts of the brisket. The parts that should be trimmed off after smoking. My husband ordered the brisket burger. It was also cold. It lacked sauce, and he also got all the fatty parts of the brisket.
I ordered the banana pudding to go. I was very sad about this pudding as its banana flavored pudding with no banana in it and some crushed villa wafers on the bottom and a couple whole ones on the top. Very sad and disappointing for sure.
The service was friendly and good. I have no real complaints regarding service. The owner should do the staff a favor and get the kitchen in order so the front of the house can make some money with a packed house, IMHO.
The decor is the same as the old Shinola's decor and could be cleaned and updated, and some of it just removed. It was very drafty and cold, which is not overly inviting.
I feel like some corrections need to be made for this restaurant to be successful. I truly hope positive changes are made in quality and atmosphere, and this restaurant survives.

Great food in a great atmosphere. We were seated quickly by a friendly staff. Our order was promptly taken and the drinks showed up quickly followed by fresh hot food. The building is very clean and is decorated very nicely. There is fireplace in the center of the dining room. There is outdoor seating overlooking a nice park area.

Tried their breakfast this morning. The fireside omelet was awesome. Had plenty leftover for tomorrow. And the service is always friendly and on top of it.
