Filet has done it again! We had the onion rings, filet with shrimp, crab and scallops, and the ribeye. The food was incredible. We are amazed by the service. We have a highly medically complex daughter, so taking her out of the house can be difficult. We have only been out to dinner as a family twice the past two years and both times we went to Filet. The first time we went, we mentioned it to Javier and without skipping a beat, they were extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure our daughter was comfortable and safe during our dinner. Tonight, months later, we went back and Javier remembered us and once again went above and beyond to accommodate. We will continue to brag about the food, atmosphere, and unmatched service that Filet has to offer, and we will continue to choose Filet for those special moments we are able to get out.

We went on Friday night for a do over of our anniversary dinner which was the previous Wednesday. We ate at another restaurant and it was terrible. We were sat immediately and our waitress Tyan was amazing. We ordered the onion rings for appetizer. They were superb. I ordered the March special and my husband has the bone in ribeye. We both had the side salads and boursin potatoes. First I will say the salad was plentiful with cheese, tomatoes, croutons and very fresh. When we were served our entrees my mouth hit the floor. Smelled amazing, looked amazing and was the most delicious steak I have had in a very long time. We were again surprised when Tyan brought over an envelope with a Happy Anniversary card. Above and beyond service and we definitely appreciated it after the disappointing dinner a few nights previous. We will definitely be back and spread the word.

The best steaks in Ankeny, hands down! Always extremely high quality cuts and perfectly prepared. All the accompanying seafood is also expertly prepared. Sides and good, drinks are good, only downside is it can be a little pricey. Worth it imo.

Tried out Filet Steakhouse in Ankeny last Friday night. There were five of us so we made reservations for 5:45. This place is the old Fletchers and has been open for about a year. Busy as typical on a Friday night. The filets were on the smaller side as expected for the price but one of the best cuts of meat I’ve had in a while -the steak was medium rare like I ordered it and melted in your mouth. The lobster was cooked well/ not rubbery and the sides were huge (probably because the filet was so small lol) For the sides we tried baked, potato, bacon mac & cheese, asparagus, broccoli, and boursin mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were out of this world! Creamy and flavorful with the Boursin cheese- so good! Clean place friendly service but we spent 2 hours there (way too long) will go back for sure but not on a Friday night.

My husband brought me here tonight for Valentine’s Day dinner. It was our first time here and most definitely won’t be the last. The food and service was amazing. I have never had such a tender filet in my entire life. Can’t wait to come back!!
