Sofia B. was our server. She was charming, attentive and fun. 4 of the 5 stars are for her. The food was good, I would not say remarkable. The Moroccan soup had a nice kick to it and the house made bread was soft and warm. I would have liked to try the high pour tea but they were out. If I possess a superpower, it would be the ability to sniff out spectacular eateries and travel destinations wherever my adventures take me. And tonight was no exception as I had an exhilarating culinary escapade at Fhima's in downtown Minneapolis Minnesota. I arrived thirty minutes early for my reservation so that I could indulge myself with their historic bar and artisanal cocktails offerings. The moment I stepped inside, I felt like I traveled back in time; enchanted by its antique furnishings complemented by vintage decor and ambiance that transported me straight into another era. They had a wonderful happy hour menu, but I opted for their signature old-fashioned cocktail called “Phone Call from Istanbul.” Bar manager Nils Larsson, prepared me a smoked signature, old-fashioned cocktail, which I filmed live on Facebook. As I stated there, it may well have been one of the best, old-fashioned cocktails I have ever had. I must say, I was more than pleased. As our conversation progressed we started talking about mixology and spirits wherein interacting with him became even more captivating and informative resulting in sharing with Nils Larsson (the manager) my original 1915 Singapore Sling recipe from Raffles Hotel Long Bar, which he recreated flawlessly giving rise to taste buds stimulation. It was so unique, and a photograph of it is included. I proceeded to have a Moroccan dish “Lamb Meatball Tagine”. It was served to me in the tagine, and, as the server lifted the top of it, and waved it about, the aromatic signature of the dish, with its wonderful blend of Moroccan herbs and spices took me away to exotic lands and musings. Lamb Meatball Tagine Onion confit, Ras Al Hanout (Ras el hanout is a spice mix with cumin, ginger, tumeric, cinnamon, coriander, pepper, and more. It is often called for in many Moroccan dishes), Seasonal vegetables. Paired with a 2020 Joseph Drouhin Bourgogne, France. My dining experience was beyond my expectations and I’m already contemplating when I will visit again. While I was doing so, Nils brought me a glass of late harvest Hungarian wine. What a great way to finish off a wonderful evening, my first in Minniapolis. I wholeheartedly recommend that you try Fhima’s Restaurant if you are anywhere near the area. This is one of those rare finds and unlike most anything you could experience elsewhere. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Extravagantly decorated restaurant with good food. Was greeted and seated right away. Ordered 3 appetizers to share and all had their own bursts of flavor. The burger buns were a little too salty though. The fries were a little too room temperature for me after coming out. I like fresh hot fries. Salmon cakes were nice and crispy. The salad was the best part for me. Would have been even better with another healthy crunch to it like cucumbers or red onions. All in all I recommend. We went for a friend's birthday and have only good things to say about our experience at Fhima's! They even brought out champagne and a little birthday for the birthday lady! Everything was amazing, the drinks unique and fun. The appetizer we had was lovely and delicious. Our meals were decadent and appetizing. The flavors were lovely and opened up our palettes! Great service! Highly recommend - I think we'll be back to try brunch soon! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food was so fresh and authentic. Portions were quite large. Cocktails were strong but well balanced. Staff was attentive and helpful. Atmosphere, decor, and ambiance were intriguing. Everything was so good, I tipped them twice! I had the Taste of Morocco, Lambshank Confit, Telephone Call from Instanbul, Choose Your Own Adventure, and Crème Brûlée. Would order the exact same thing if I went back. Just can’t get any better! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

When we’re lucky, we have a memorable dining experience while exploring new cities. Fhima was it for our first Minneapolis trip. It was across the street from our hotel and we went to happy hour before a concert, and liked it so much we returned two nights later. Delicious food, attentive efficient and friendly wait staff and beautiful art deco surroundings. A wonderful experience. The food was good, especially the smaller plate dishes. The Tartar was amazing! the atmosphere is beautiful, but my only slight was on the service. The server was really nice, but we barely had service. I believe the guests behind us knew either the staff or owner, because they got plenty of service. We had to ask for the bar minimums. But overall, I would give it another go. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
