Second time eating here. It is a nice place to chill and have a coffee or cold drink. The samosas were nice. The coffee is okay, baked goods not that great. I picked up the chocolate cake on the go, too dry. Wish they had milk alternative options for the coffee and tea. An overally okay place to meet up in Mtwapa.
Update: I stayed longer and noticed a cleaner going round cleaning the floor and it was spotless in minutes.
Great mocktails, I ordered the Pine-Mint and it had a great refreshing taste, perfectly cold and not too sweet…variety of foods in the menu to fit different preference, the tuna salad was filling… the staff were very friendly and each was interested in helping make me comfortable; Salim and Berin (or Beryl) were fantastic!! Cleanliness; the floor needs constant cleaning to keep it spotless as it was a bit not too clean. The booths are also extremely uncomfortable, you have to literally squeeze yourself in and out and there’s a pillar beneath the table, which makes it even more uncomfy; Sasly they’re in the coolest part of the restaurant so you have to just take it if looking to wa pace the heat…It could use a some more space if only they could break one booth so as to space out the others.
One of the best things about this place is the food. Whether you're in the mood crispy kuku, or a refreshing swiss roll, they've got you covered. And if you're feeling adventurous, make sure to try their famous "dawa". Trust me, it's one of the best drinks I've ever tasted!
I love this place. Friendly staff, new look (you can now enjoy a glass of juice with friends and family).
I love the cocoa swiss rolls, the beef samosas and a cup of masala tea 😍😋
+20 min to get the waitress to stop ignoring us. We even stood at the railing to wave down to where they were. we even googled the phone number to try and call them from our table, but it was just some clueless helpdeskagent in some city far far away. And when she finally gave us the grace to acknowledge us it was like: Juice? "We don't have". Pilaw? "We don't have". Salad? "We don't have" Nama Choma? "We don't have". Byriani? "We don't have". She then tried to sell us a very mediocre chicken with fries for something like a thousand, but we had seen before on the table next to us that it obviously wasn't worth it.
It was hot like crazy in there and even the fan didn't work properly.
Never going to go there again.
