I’ve been putting this off but can’t any longer. About 6 weeks ago my family of 4 had dinner here. We have been going here for years. I had chicken parm and about 4 hours later I became violently ill, vomiting and running to bathroom (to put it mildly). This went on for 1 1/2 days. It was horrible. About a week later I decided to call and tell someone at the restaurant to let them know. A man answered and said he was the owner. I felt terrible telling him my experience not knowing how he would react. He proceeded to be very sympathetic and apologized. He told me how important it was to him to give guests good food and a good experience. He invited my husband and I to come back as his guest when I was ready. Early last week I called him on his personal cell phone. We played phone tag and after calling him 3 times I decided to stop as it always went to voicemail . I even called the restaurant and asked the hostess if she had been given my name for us to come in as a gift from the owner. I thought this would turn out better than it did but bottom line there are plenty of good Italian restaurants around. Just quite a disappointment. The food, service and atmosphere were amazing. This place did not disappoint. My husband had the Sea Bass topped with spinach, capers and olives covered with a white wine lemon sauce. He raved about the freshness of the fish with all of the wonderful flavors, with every bite. He paired his meal with an Italian Sauvignon Blanc. I had the Chicken Parmesan. The lightly crusted chicken was fresh & tender. The parmigiana sauce over the chicken and noodles was delicious! I paired my meal with a Cabernet Sauvignon . Our server was Kimberly. She was attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly! It was a treat be able to meet one of the owner’s Patrick. He was very welcoming and took the time to engage in conversation with us and the other customers. Looks are deceiving, from the outside this restaurant didn’t look like anything special, but once we stepped inside, wow! It was spacious, nicely decorated and very clean! And all the smells coming from the kitchen were heavenly!! They also have a full service bar. This restaurant is a hidden gem. We will definitely return and look forward to trying some more deliciousness from the wide array of items on the menu. PS: For dessert my husband had the Bourbon Apple Cobbler Ice Cream. He highly recommends it! 😊 Reservations are also recommended, this place packs up fast! It's hard to know what the restaurant is trying to accomplish. The daily specials were great and tasted awesome per my table. The classic Italian American staples my wife and I ordered were pretty bad. The restaurant is nestled in a suburban, family area and not an art district. It seems like it is conflicted in trying to serve both and lacks identity. The service and staff were great. The interior decoration was familiar and fit other restaurants in the area. The execution just felt vague and could have been better at being a family italian restaurant and maybe not worry about Mahi Mahi. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
