They have the best skillets I have ever tried, hands down. Other than my daughter's french toast and this breakfast spot in Lincoln Park in Chicago, they have the best french toast also. Great service, the waitress staff are awesome.

A pretty decent diner seemingly stuck in the middle of a restaurant/ fast food void on Grand River. The grilled ham and cheese sandwich was the best that I've ever had. Who would have thought that you could have a stacked ham and cheese with mayo, lettuce and tomato, coupled with a huge portion of pickles for only $7.95? I'm in awe and I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area!

Ordered through delivery on UberEats on 11/1
My order:
Corned Beef & Swiss Omelette w/ Hash Browns & Wheat Toast
Texas Style French Toast w/ Pecan(Extra)
6 pc. Wing Dings
Delivery was flawless. Timely manner, food was still hot.
The omelette was amazing. They use chunks instead of shredded. Cheese was melty. Toast and hash browns done perfectly. They included a plethora of condiments, including different jelly, which is a bonus.
The wings, crisp, delicious, always hitting with the ranch.
French toast was probably some of the best I’ve ever had recently. Very well done. My only slight disappointment(because I’m spoiled and it’s what I’d do) is the pecans. I figured they’d be candied, but no biggie, the syrup saved them!
I think price-wise this was the better option, at least via delivery. It was at least cheaper than L. George’s, my go-to. And the taste was better to. Great experience, great food.

Happy friendly staff. The best local grill chefs I've ever seen. Cute diner stool counter to enjoy their delicious corned and swiss omelet for breakfast fast don't forget the grits. Their fried chicken sandwich it's the best in town hands down. I also enjoy the diner portion stir fry

My boys and I have been coming here for years and years. They know and remember us as well as our preferences. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and if your not happy they are always willing to find you another dish on their extensive comfort driven menu. Great place to see others from the community and grab a carry out after a long day. Breakfast is always fast and delicious as well.

We ordered waffles with strawberries, the corned beef skillet and steak & eggs with grits for delivery. Steak was over requested temp, but well seasoned and edible. Hard to control with delivery, so I won't subtract stars for that. Grits were well cooked, but could have been better seasoned. Waffles were nothing special. They were spongy and came with a very small amount of cut strawberries. The Corned Beef Skillet was the star of the show. Generous, tender and tasty pieces of corned beef throughout really made it a treat. I would order from this restaurant again.

Our waitress brought our food and never came back. Didn't ask if I needed any more coffee, nothing. It was only when I saw her pouring cups of coffee thruout her section that got me so upset. Breakfast was not great either, and the cost was ridiculous. Never will I ever go back to this diner. Personally, I think our waitress was racist. Because what was funny was that it was only two sets of black folks in the building. Yet she managed to ignore both of us. Didn't leave a tip. I had to call her over just to get my bill. While she was tending to the young man at the counter. Farmington Diner, do better. It's 2024. No one should be made to feel this way about any establishment, especially the service business.

Prices too high and portions are small. I had a crock of French onion soup and a soda. The cost was $15 including tip. My friend had ten ounce prime rib. Literally half of it was fat. I don't mind paying top dollar if the food is good and the portions are generous. But that hasn't been my experience. The table next to ours had an elderly couple. They ordered a bowl of seafood chowder for $15.99 and when it came they were shocked at the tiny bowl. I would have hated to see what a cup of chowder looked like. It would have been very small. A plain hamburger was $9.50 that comes with a few potato chips. Cheese or any other topping cost extra. So no, I do not recommend going here unless money is no object and you don't mind small portions of mediocre food. I mean it's a diner, so it's typical diner fare at inflated prices. Not worth it.
