We were tired and hungry from riding, not knowing what would be open on a Sunday and then we saw this little place and decided to give it a go.
It’s a lovely little country cafe that sells homemade jellies and soups too, very pleasant. Our server was attentive right from the start, my husband had the chili frito pie which was huge and very tasty, and I had a large bowl of the homemade vegetable and beef soup which really hit the spot, so yummy.
All this and two cups of coffee plus some onions rings, for just $18! Where does one buy lunch for two for under $20 these days, hardly anywhere….so we were well pleased.
If you are passing through Hector on your way up highway 27, which is an amazing ride, I highly recommend you stop here first and get your belly fueled up with some tasty food s from some really nice people.
We’ll be back next time we’re riding up that way.
