My husband and I were walking around Venice and stopped in to visit the Wine Bar that we have heard so much about in the community. We had a wonderful time, Carmel the owner and David the manager were unbelievable hosts.
We will be returning to experience more great wine and company!
The wine bar previously known as Casey Key Wine Collector is now operating under new ownership and is named Farfelu Wine & Cheese Bar. Carmel Stephano is the name of the new owner. She plans no immediate changes other than to retain the only employee, David, take the cheese and charcuterie offerings to another level, add some small plate menu items, and, of course, expand the hours! We are so glad that David is staying on to pour the wines. He is exceptionally nice and quite knowledgeable about the wines they serve. The charcuterie board we ordered was generous, interesting, and paired wonderfully with the wines we chose. The atmosphere is welcoming, the other guests were friendly and sociable, and we very much enjoyed our time there. Having moved to Venice from the Wine Country of the Willamette Valley, we have struggled to find an authentic Wine Bar that serves quality wines in a refined atmosphere. This place is the real deal!
