we loved it here! the oysters are some of the best I’ve ever had and the brown butter lobster roll was almost too good to eat, we wanted to savor it for as long as we could, loved the tuna tartare as well! Can’t wait to come back <3 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We left the place feeling disappointed 😔and headed to J’s oyster where we had a better time! I think the food at Eventide Oyster Co is just mediocre with the prices they are charging….unsure what the hype is about. There’s much better options in Portland. Service wasn’t too good. We went w a baby but we had to install the baby seat ourselves. There’s also a 5% charge for kitchen staff to cook the items.. not sure why its not included in the food prices. It’s also sharing plates concept. But the portions are too small to even share… 😭 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

On our last stop through Portland we didn’t get to try this place out. After our dinner last night I’m blown away at the level of quality, creativity and overall atmosphere of this spot. My boyfriend and I shared the Scallop waffle, the lobster roll, the squash soup, the clam chowder and a dozen oysters. The oysters were fresh and the horseradish ice really elevated that experience. Star of the show was also that scallop waffle, elevated and I’ve never had anything like that before. Service was warm and comfortable and we will definitely be back. Stopped in for lunch and was fortunate enough to be seated shortly after arriving. We had oysters, lobster rolls and the ice cream sandwich. The oysters were incredible and combined with the ice cream sandwich, one of the best things we ate in town. Unfortunately, the lobster rolls were in my opinion, overpriced for what you get. I will say their butter presentation provides it with good flavor but mine barely had any lobster so the one that did is what was photographed. Would stick to oysters and dessert on my next visit. A little wait , we showed up at 12:30 and waited 30 min. Friday after noon . We had a seat right at the window. Service on point. We had a dozen oysters of our choosing. Fresh and mouth quenching. They were amazing. Lobster stew a great choice. It came with saltine crackers , i ordered some plane buns on the side instead (soft and warm) . Had a nice Rosé and my mom had the Walking Dead served in a parrot glass ( only allowed 2) the atmosphere was quaint (felt like Nantucket a little) Highly recommend… worth waiting …Enjoy!

So worth it to include the Eventide Oyster Company into your Portland Maine trip. If you're not sure and are a fan of seafood, it's definitely worth it. First thing is first though! Reservations! Have a reservation ready and do so weeks in advance because this place gets packed! There is almost always a line to get in and props to the staff for managing the crowds and getting tables going smooth to keep up with the traffic of people stopping by to check out this spot. The waiter answered all of our questions and gave suggestions on what items to try which was much appreciated. My favorite was the lobster roll and clam chowder. Those are must haves! Maine lobster is an amazing mouth-watering experience. :) Service Dine in Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Lobster Roll

We arrived from NY without any reservations during peak hours and we were still seated. The inside aesthetic was beautiful. We got oysters, lobster roll, soup, and ahi tuni. They were all delicious. I would recommend making a reservation beforehand since it gets packed pretty quickly. The price range is a little expensive for the amount of food but well worth it. Would recommend!
