“The Salthouse of Meatballs” is truly a hidden gem on the salt fields of Kampot. It is a family establishment owned by generations of Khmer salt farmers. If you are looking for an authentic Cambodian taste and establishment venture here for an unforgettable experience. The restaurant’s atmosphere is beautiful. Come here in the afternoon to experience the sunset. It is a great place to relax with groups of friends, family, or just yourself and/or a significant other. Their food selection is an assortment of meat skewers, stews, and more traditional Cambodian fare. My food came out hot and was very delicious. Their bread is served with some kind of sweet honey butter, which was a nice surprise. What was also great was that the size of their iced teas were HUGE! They don’t skimp here, which is very nice when you’ve been baking in the Cambodian heat!!! Other places it always feels like you get a couple sips and the drink is gone because it’s mostly ice, but not here! The owner was very kind and accommodating. I appreciate when you can tell an establishment enjoys serving their customers. As a plus you can grab some fresh Cambodian salt flakes on your way out.

Sehr schöne Lage direkt am salzfeld. Es ist ruhig und lädt ein Zeit zu verbringen. Salz gibt es nur zu sehen wenn es trocken ist, nicht bei Nässe und regen. Super Ort für eine Pause vom Road Trip.
