Highly recommended!!! Homemade dishes from the owners and everything was superb!!! 💯 We had trouble looking for the place at first as they open the doors just right before serving but the wait was super worth it! I suggest coming before opening hours, and wait. There are only few table and you might risk to wait for a long time. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I normally never leave reviews but I’m still thinking about the food we had til this day. We landed in Porto at night and got lost trying to find this restaurant but we were so determined. This little hole in the wall restaurant completely exceeded our expectations. Our favorites were the sardines and cuttlefish dishes! The owners were very welcoming as well. Overall, a great first impression of Porto! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Cod Fish Ball and Cold Sardines

Amazing amazing amazing! I felt like I was in a locals kitchen. The cod fritters, cod pastry, octopus and sardines were so delicious. Service was great and entertaining. Great price for the quality of food. Would go again and highly recommend trying this gem out! Very authentic experience having dinner in this restaurant. The food was good quality and felt like home food. :) we were not sure if we found the restaurant on the narrow street because we did not see any signs of the name but people were gathering around to wait so we figured it’s correct place :) No possibility to pay with card so get ready your cash. We had a feast over here. After arriving late the previous night and getting dismayed by the long queue, we arrived early at 7pm and waited for the doors to open. Our hunger had reached its peak, but when the food arrived, we got completely lost in its awesomeness and flavours. The two grannies who run the place work really hard and it felt great to taste food that they have maybe worked decades on. We had octopus salad, Prato de feuao frade which is a beans dish, rissois which is shrimp croquet, bolinhos de bachalau, and bifana. Everything was amazing. My personal favourite was the octopus salad. But the bifana also tasted so amazing. Must visit when you're in Porto! I recently dined at a local seafood restaurant and wanted to share my experience. Firstly, the restaurant's Google Maps listing stated a 7:00 PM opening time, but to our surprise, they opened at 7:30 PM without any notice or updated business hours posted at the entrance. This initial confusion set a slightly off tone for the evening. Once seated, we noticed a significant wait time for our food, about 30 minutes, which was unexpected especially for the two cold dishes we ordered that presumably required minimal preparation. On a positive note, the seasoning of the dishes was robust, pairing well with beer, making it a good choice for those who enjoy stronger flavors with their drinks. However, the food tended to be on the heavier side, with a noticeable oiliness. This might not appeal to everyone, especially those looking for a more upscale dining experience. We tried a variety of dishes including cuttlefish, sardines, fried cod, pig's ears, and a pork chop bun. Each dish had rich and intricate seasoning, which explains the high ratings the restaurant has received. In summary, while the flavors were enjoyable and well-executed, the service and ambiance aspects could use some attention. It's a decent place for hearty seafood with a casual setting, but I'd recommend checking if they're open before you go. Good food made by 2 portguese mamas. The atmosphere is great and service as well. Very friendly and we felt like at home. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €10–15 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The whole experience was very interesting. We waited about one hour in the queue before entering the restaurant, and we were greeted by this big sweaty man who was very funny. We sat at the tables and we immediately realized that the atmosphere was magic: it felt like being in a grandma’s kitchen! This was very nice and genuine on one hand, but on the other hand we wondered about the hygiene condition, especially after we saw how much the man was sweating. The food was truly fantastic: the octopus salad was tender and flavorful, the fried codfish was mindblowing and in the end the dulce de nata was surprisingly nice. Overall a great experience, absolutely recommended if you don’t mind waiting a little in the queue and if you’re not picky Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €20–25 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Fish and Shrimp Croquettes
