I have enjoyed many of the menu items at Eric's. Overall the bbq here is neither the best or the worst I've ever had. The brisket and pulled pork are noteworthy. The chicken was ok but I wasn't crazy about the ribs or sausage. Curiously, the fried tacos were a pleasant surprise. For sides I really enjoyed the frijoles and elote. Coleslaw was good. Mac and potato salad were meh. Staff is really friendly and welcoming. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
Most definitely one of the best BBQ spots in AZ. Went here last night and tried the Pastrami Sandwich which was hands down the best pastrami I’ve ever had; flavorful and juicy. The Mac n Cheese was on point and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful as well. I'm from NYC where pastrami is king. Living in AZ for over 28 years, I've never been satisfied with either the corned beef or the pastrami. High prices, with disappointments. Eric's by far is the best pastrami I've EVER had. Go here, enjoy the funky dining room, and the GREAT meats. Update 11/28/23: Epic. Pulled pork is fabulous. Fries are straight from the boardwalk in Brooklyn, NY. BRAVO. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I usually have a great experience at Erics so we decided to go with them for the Thanksgiving meal. Not sure what happened with our order though because our brisket was overcooked and our ribs were undercooked which made it basically inedible. We ended up having to throw away all the food because it was just not up to usual Erics standard. We got the brisket, pastrami, jalapeño cheddar sausage, pork ribs, fries, and beans. Everything was delicious! All of the meat was tender and tasty. The sauce was on point (I really liked the spicy). The beans have a cilantro and citrus flavor, different but good. And the fries were crispy and hot. By far the best barbecue I have had in AZ. We probably had enough food to fill 5 hungry people with 2 lbs of meat, 2 side fries, and 2 sides of beans. Cost us just short of 100 dollars. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and on task/efficient too. Highly recommend this place (whoever left a bad review on this place has taste issues and a chip on their shoulder...). Probably one of the best BBQ places I've been to. From the moment of entering the staff is friendly, helpful and welcoming. If it's your first time they offer up great recommendations and ensure quality service throughout. Add in the fact that from the moment you pull up you can smell the BBQ, my personal favorite thing on the menu so far is the pulled pork sandwich. I also tried the ribs and brisket. For sides the Mac and cheese was delicious. And for dessert, the banana pudding helped end the meal on high note. I like to stop by for just the pudding sometimes when I feel like dessert. All in all I will continue to support this business and look forward to my next visit and highly recommend this place to others. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This BBQ is the real deal! Smoked flavors are amazing, seasoned great and the house BBQ sauce is perfect. The sides are also just as good! We will definitely be going again and recommend to anyone looking for authentic BBQ. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Nope. You only have one chance to make a good first impression. There were too many things that we didn't like. The brisket was bland and too fatty. It appeared undercooked. The house bbq sauce was not good; they need bbq sauce that's on the sweeter side. The mac n cheese appeared too old like it was microwaved; I'm sure it wasn't, but it was also bland; I had to season it with a lot of pepper. The cheese needed to be more creamy; there were too many small lumps in the cheese. The fries were not bad. I like the Heinz ketchup. The pecan pie was burned. They were out of banana pudding; forgivable. We went because of the high reviews. I'm sure two fewer customers will not hurt their business. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
