First time being there, but it was great...my friend had a birthday/surprise engagement party. We had a party of about 15-20 people and the waitress did Excellent in taking our orders and separating the checks. The food was very good and fresh, the amount was great for the price(which isn't bad either) I'd recommend Empire for a date or a business luncheon...its a good find! Food is delicious! Large portions, wide selection on the menu. You can get Philly steak in the omelette 🤤 Breads are fresh, even the drip coffee is legit. Will come back for sure. This Diner is hands down one of the best!! All across the board. Beginning with friendliness ,cleansiness, service, food, quality of food. Even the amount of food you get, is definitely enough for one person. I highly recommend this diner. I do not dine at diners often. Although I have been to Springfield. That Diner cannot hold a Candlestick to this one! No comparison! Highly recommend. The parking lot always looks packed, but there is never a wait. Good food and employees. I have dined in and had it delivered on those lazy, "I want breakfast!", days. Also, you have to try the desserts. Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Nice clean diner where you comfortably sit and eat your food in peace. The manager and owners are pleasant to me and my husband. We go almost every other Monday on his day off. The reason why I gave service 3 stars because of the waitresses. One waitress rushes the kitchen to cook fast and food be cooked undone and sloops. You must watch what waitress you pick. A waitress should make sure that the food is cook throughly. I rather wait then for them to mess my food up. Last time requested the T bone and eggs she rushed the kitchen and brought it out half done so I had to settle for bacon because I don’t believe in sending food back. If you like an authentic diner experience, this is it! I enjoy their breakfasts. The homefries are generously portioned. I get the two large slices of toasted rye bread. The French toast is on point, too. They offer turkey sausage, bacon, and scrapple. Selling points for me. Fresh bakery sweets--Italian cookies, cannollis, cupcakes, whole cakes, etc. I had their cookies and cream cheesecake. Awesome! My family who lives in the area said this was their favorite diner, and I can absolutely see why. The food was delicious, and came out so fast! The pancakes were just the right texture, light and fluffy; the breakfast potatoes were spectacular; and the scrapple was amazing. We were too full to eat dessert while we were there, but we bought some to go (and they even gave us some extra cake for free!) and it was just as good as everything else. The restaurant was clean and appealingly decorated, and the service was great. Our waitress, whose name was Jane, I believe, was absolutely perfect: friendly, professional, and attentive. I’d be excited to come back any time I’m in town.

From the diary of a diner junkie: I had never been to Empire before but I’ll tell you I’ll be going back real soon! First, our waitress Tammy, “best in the world”! She was on it, meaning she truly sees what’s going on around her! Thanks Tammy! Second, the eggs cooked to perfection, oh and the potatoes (add onion) omg so fresh and yummy! The scrapple was delicious too! The place is clean, even the bathrooms! My friend had the chicken Caesar wrap in a spinach tortilla and the meal was big enough to have lunch for the next day. Folcroft Diner was number one for us but empire just slid in to first place. Update 2/8/23: tried the stuffed french toast and the pancake Napoleon -french toast was absolutely amazing! Every single bite! The pancakes were good, a little dry-missing something, like butter we added syrup but still couldn't finish. Stuffed french toast wasn't too sweet, I can't handle too sweet, it was perfect. Melt in your mouth like bites of heaven. Very filling too. Stephanie was our waitress, attentive and radiated service with a smile. We love this diner.
