Not only was this cake well put together but it tasted amazing!! The staff was very nice and explained everything about the cake perfectly to me. I highly highly highly recommended them!
I just have to say that it’s very unfortunate that I have to write this review, generally I wouldn’t do this because I am a very busy person, but the inconsistencies and lack of quality of Peruvian bakeries/restaurants need to stop now. If I’m spending my money….I expect a decent product, that I can actually finish eating and not throw away. This is why I am writing this review because it was a waste of my money and very disappointing. The Mazamorra Morada con Arroz con Leche, a very delicious dessert when is made right…. was the disappointment of my experience today with this bakery. The arroz con leche was watery and the mazamorra as well, the mazamorra tasted like it was diluted and needed more maiz morado and other ingredients. This is not the first time I’ve been in this bakery, I usually buy empanadas there and they are decent. Everything else I don’t buy there because I don’t like the way it tastes. I am very particular with my food and I know how Peruvian food/pastries should taste like…I am Peruvian and I’m sorry but none of these Peruvian restaurants/bakeries in Newburgh or Middletown NY or around these areas do justice for ORIGINAL Peruvian food. Definitely not a good representation of authentic Peruvian food. They are overpriced & inconsistent. Now, I do have to say the owners of this bakery are really nice and friendly but, I cannot deny the poor quality of the dessert. With that being said I hope this feedback can help them improve their quality of food.
Such a cute bakery with the most delicious tres leches in town. I brought my grandmother here (who was visiting from Peru) and she gave many compliments to everything but in specific, to their milhojas, mazamorra and chica morrada! The owner told us every batch is made with maiz morado! Definitely my go-to for Peruvian treats.
Best bakery that we’ve found. I could go here every week. The lucuma tres leches tastes like a bite of heaven. The chocolate croissant is the best one outside of NYC. The empanadas are great. Cookies and other cakes fantastic. It’s small but every item is done perfectly! Wonderful Peruvian Bakery right in Newburgh!
Very pricey on cakes. I ordered a tres leches cake, driest cake ive ever had, she literally skipped the "leche"! Literally tasted like a boxed cake from the supermarket. Was told to pick up at 5pm, arrived on time and still had to wait 45 minutes bc it wasnt done. Definitely disappointed to have paid $80
Edited after owners response:
**I have my reciept of what I paid. Your info is incorrect because I was never told about shortage of staff nor asked to return. I waited there for my cake. We should accept negative criticism as well, it was MY experience rather you agree or not.
My boyfriend ordered my birthday cake from here and it was the best cake I’ve ever had! Details were on point and they made the best cake combination ever: chocolate cake with Oreo buttercream filling. Will definitely place another order!
One of our guests said it was the best cake she'd ever had. We ordered the tres leches cake for a bridal shower and it was a big hit. Ready to pick up on time...great service and easy pick up with parking out front.
Best place for custom cakes in Newburgh and the surrounding area!
Their cake decorator walks you through every step and answers all questions. Tried their empanadas too... BEST Peruvian empanadas!
A family friend brought over a tres leches cake from Emma's last night. It was great! Highly recommended. We'll be making it a point to order from them in the future.
