Ordered Prime Rib RARE. Comes out lightly brown...NO red whatsoever. So hungry I ate it. OK taste, needs more seasoning. Did a substitution and waitress got that on point. Only disappointment was the Prime Rib to be honest. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Really disappointed with fish sandwich that was messy with too much tartar sauce all over the place. Was not worth the price. Waited in drive thru a long time when we were the only customer. Shakes were nice and thick though. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
This Elmer's was such a great experience. Our waitress didn't even know me but once she noticed I was injured, she was so caring. All of the employees were polite, and even the patrons of this restaurant were kind. Food was delicious! Service, excellent. If I ever find myself in Albany again for whatever reason, I will return to this location for sure! They were having work done so, it was loud. Service took a bit to get to us and there was no one else waiting (nor was it busy). We were seated, they took out order, brought us food and then we didn't see them again. We had to go ask for the check. Food was ok. Good for the most part but, nothing I would go out of my way for. The bacon burger was bland and a bit dry. The German pancake was a cool little gimmicky thing. Done nicely and tangy traditional zip. The crepes, I wouldn't order again. They were so incredibly sugary that my teen daughter couldn't even finish them. The whip cream was the tame part. The filling was like jelled cake filler....just no. Overall....not a recommend from me (unless you want to try the German pancake maybe). Just not worth the money. Service Dine in Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
The store in Albany is absolutely phenomenal. I never have a complaint about the food or the staff. They always go above and beyond to meet a customer’s expectations. That being said, it seems corporate has made some business decisions that directly impact the customer, and for what? To save a few pennies. I order a Prime Rib dip, I do not order the onion or the cheese and yet I’m expected to pay for them anyway, because Burger King and McDonalds don’t discount their food. However I’m not ordering at fast food, I have higher expectations than a thrown together burger. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20
Not worth the $72 with tip. Last review I left was 3 years ago and was 5 ⭐️. We have been coming to Elmer’s now for three decades and have always had a great experience, but this time was different. We came for the Dungeness crab eggs Benedict. The eggs were not poached but hard boiled completely through on both of our orders. We also upgraded the harsh browns to have cheese, bacon and sour cream. The cheese was burnt to a crisp, and indistinguishable from the hash browns themselves, sour cream was a joke, and pretty sure it was bacon bits not bacon. Tried to wait for the server to respond but they must have been busy not doing their job. When brought to there attention it was too late and we had other plans to get to and no other considerations were made. Very very disappointed, and will be going to other local restaurants as we have been. Shari’s, Brick and Mortar Cafe’, Jo Jo Macs and anywhere else because they do it better. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $30–50
I gotta say, this is one of the best family restaurants we've eaten at ever. The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and very accommodating. We made a few special requests and she delivered. Also, whoever the chefs are here, they are amazing! That was the best Eggs Benedict we've ever had. Perfectly poached eggs and amazingly crisp bacon. Wow! They, by far, exceeded our expectations. The German pancake was delicious too. Also the Rueban sandwich. Everything was perfect. Thank you. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Was visiting the area cause my company sent myself and some co workers...starting the day with a meal...couldn't have picked a better spot. Staff was very helpful and had us seated in no time..menu in hand..we ordered.. I had some chicken fried steak that came with hashbrowns..eggs..and a buttermilk biscuit..guys got there food and were happy. Food was very good as well as the service..would definitely recommend this place for the weary traveler to grub out and take in a inviting interior. Food quality and service have been consistently good over the 5 or 6 times we've eaten there in the past couple months. The Yukon French toast with marionberry syrup is very good. The pancakes are good too... but not as good as the french toast
