This is one of those places that should go down in history as the "best of." Its very unassuming presence in Santa Barbara makes it difficult to be found unless you are from that area. Having been around the world and having experienced some of the best foods in the world, it can be difficult to find anything these days that I can honestly say is "the best." This place has it. One bite into any of the Eller's raised donuts; Maple, chocolate or sugar glazed and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Light, yet scrumptious puffy donuts quite literally melt in your mouth. I wish they shipped these donuts overnight. It's something I look forward to whenever visiting Santa Barbara!
Consistently Delicious Donuts. I have tried almost every donut shop in SB. SB is not a donut town. However, we found that Eller's apple fritters are great and everything else they make is consistently good. The place is always busy for good reason. The staff is efficient and friendly enough. Yes, the donuts are sweet. No, they are not gourmet. They make old school donuts and I've never been disappointed. I look forward to my next visit.
