Fusion French-Lao/Asian cuisine. Service was prompt and food was good. Inexpensive by European standard for a 3 course meal (soup, steak and dessert) with a local beer. €22. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Creme Brulee
Without exaggeration, the best food and service here. Quick preparation of dishes, despite the fact that the restaurant was almost full. Good wine. Portions are average and less than average. But the taste is excellent. They charge 10% extra for service. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes French Onion Soup

Best restaurant in Luang Prabang. And I tried many restaurants while staying 11 days here: The food is very good. It’s it just a little bit more expensive than other such restaurants around, but you can see the difference and it’s worth it. Service was perfect, i was even shocked that they replaced the hole plate when we said that we ordered french fries instead of home fries with the main course. The soup was perfect with such a tasty bread. We tried the fish, ravioli, tagliatelle, they were very good. the chocolate fondant was not as good as back home but it was okay. Amazing restaurant for French food! Really enjoyed the fish in "ancient" mustard sauce, the camembert salad and the wonderful sauteed potatoes. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Duck Breast
Very nice restaurant. Specializing in French cuisine. A little expensive compared to other local restaurants, but not when compared to Europe or the US. Food was most excellent! Good selection of items and presentation always perfect. Don't miss the creme brule! Interestingly, the restaurant was very busy at 19:30 on a Friday, but the crowd had disappeared by 20:30.....so if planning an early dinner it might pay to call ahead. The Elephant was my first meal in Laos! It was a perfect dining experience complimented by sublime service and in an amazing period building. Extensive menu and all of our dishes were amazing. Had the buffalo steak for something different and really enjoyed it Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Excellent restaurant in Luang Prabang for French cuisine. Lovely ambience, good quality food (pair with wine, reasonable pricing for good quality) and attentive service staff.
