I wish I would have read the reviews before we came here.. Tourist trap with pricey and bad food. Portioned are very large but that doesn't change the fact that the food was just so bad. Sharing food here is the best alternative.. I ordered a small pizza with ham. It was ok. My wife ordered the payalla and it was NOT GOOD. We only gave it 3 stars, as the view is nice and the atmosphere takes it from 2 stars :/ Oh, and a glass of wine gets confused with an entire bottle.. Eeghad.. Worst meal in Uruguay

Pricey and bad food. The portion is quite large but that doesn't change the fact that the food was just so bad. I gave one more star just because of the atmosphere outdoors, with a nice view, and the staff was nice.
Great place to have coffee and watch the sun go down

The food was really bad and pricy. But even worse, the waiters tried to cheat us, when we asked for the bill the guy explained it really fast and took the reception really quickly with him after I paid. Later when I calculated the bill I could not understand how it was so expensive. I asked to see the bill again and saw that they tried to charge us for a full bottle of wine we did not have (we had half a bottle of a much cheaper version). Also he did not look so surprised... Tourist trap from the worst kind.
Overpriced, with bad service, and food is not that great. We ordered two dishes, which were not abundant for how much they cost, they were a bit cold, and took a long time to get the order done and so the food to come. The atmosphere is ok as it is in front to the port and the place is not that bad. Waiters are not that polite as well.

Tourist trap - ok the live music was nice and the waiters friendly but the food was well below average. We had grill, the meat offered only ribs and it was by far not tender at all. Together with a bottle of Merlot we paid 65 Dollars

Total tourist trap... I made the mistake of not looking at the price list before ordering. Most expensive apple pie I never had. Also... I felt pressed to tip, they asked me over and over again how much I pay for sevice until they milked the number despite the fact I had to get up to go pay... awkward! View was nice tho but I do not recommend.
Absolutely a tourist trap. Food is so bad without any taste and very bad quality. Worst meat we ever had... They even charge a fee for putting some dry old bred in the table. Even if you don't touch it.
It's a pretty little town with nice restaurants - you will find similar ones on almost every coast where catholic colonialists ruled. Therefore, it's a good contrast to big Buenos Aires. But Colonial has one huge disadvantage: The prices are weired - as if you were in Switzerland. And because the ferry from Buenos Aires is expensive too, the rating can't be better. Even if the restaurant is ok.

Avoid! Apart from the view everything is terrible and overpriced. Every dish was very badly prepared or cooked. Service was slow and rude despite there being very few people.
