I love Mexican restaurants for the simple reason that it's easier to get vegan options. However, I was not impressed by the menu selection, quality of the food or the service during our dining experience. The rice was bland, as was the guacamole. The vegan fajitas served to me looked like the exact same veggie mix served with their meat options - peppers and onions - nothing that set them apart. And I was least impressed with the extremely slow service. The black bean refried option was great, and the basic red salsa was delicious. That is unfortunately not enough for a return visit. Longtime customer who will never return. The service is always slow, but factor that in. For pickup ot delivery they often get your order wrong.on my birthday this year I received the wrong order via doordash, which took forever too. They consistently can't execute simple orders. I was out of the delivery area for Andale, should have picked up there! Service Delivery Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 1 Service: 1
It’s a restaurant in a strip mall that could use a little interior updating but it was clean, service was friendly and quick and the food was tasty. We had the Birria tacos and Tres Amigo enchiladas with carnitas and both were really good. Meat was seasoned really well and a lot of it in both entrees. The consommé had an interesting flavor. I liked it, just different than what I’m used to. Rice and beans were your standard but they were nice and hot. We’ll definitely be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I'm an elderly woman who has been to many different restaurants in the Twin Cities area. El Tejaban Mexican Grill is the best I have eaten in. Friendly staff that is upbeat, and you can hear laughter and fun at each table/booth the wait staff is at. Also, the place to take a date and sit in a little hideaway or large groups. Generous servings of mouth watering food. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Carne A la Tampiquena

We celebrated a family birthday with 13 of us. They did a really nice job of being able to meet all of our needs. The food was good on the weekends they have a certain menu between 10:00 and 2:00 that they call their brunch so it's not their typical menu. Their guacamole is to die for. The standard of Mexican food in the Twin Cities is pretty low, but this place is well, well above the local baseline. Deserves a far higher rating, and if you read some of the negative reviews, you’ll quickly understand that they’re written by absolute morons. Been coming here for about five years and never had a bad experience. On my last visit, they had a separate Oaxacan mini-menu - try that!

Best Mexican food I have eaten so far. Excellent service, next level food. The flavors were authentic and the service was above and beyond. Fish, chicken fajita, tacos, nachos everything was amazing. And the ice cream with curls at the end was a cherry on top.
Absolutely amazing! This is my favorite restaurant in MN. This place is beautiful and staff are super friendly. Food is delicious. You get a lot of food as well for the price, definitely not like other expensive restaurants. Overall dining experience is very pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant! (My all time favorite “Camarones Maria la Diabla”)
Great authentic Mexican food. Servers were super friendly and food was spectacular. Loved their spicy salsa. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I’m glad I found this place. The margarita was bomb my garlic shrimp was bomb the music was lit and the service was great. Whatever we asked for they got it. Chips were not my favorite and the salsas were basic but we asked for a spicier one and best believe we got it Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50
