Very impressed. Tried for first time around 5 PM on a Saturday evening and there wasn't many customers. Was helped right away and the waiter was Shawn was very polite and considerate. The food portions were generous and reasonably priced. The kids chicken tenders were above par, along with our tacos and enchiladas. We will be back! Crystal was very nice and helpful with it being our first time there. We both got the beef chimi which was both HUGE and delicious! Will be here again to satisfy my chimi needs! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Sean was a great server! The food just wasn't all that good IMHO. I eat at a lot of restaurants. And it's was just so bland! And the price of the plates were kinda over the top! The $16.00 plate I had. Should've been like $12.00. The kids plates were pricey as well! Kids plates should be like $6.00 max! We paid $85 and charge for the meal and tip. Margs weren't all that great either. The server was great! The food needs some work! Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Will you look at that straight up UNIT of a serving of Beef Fajita Nachos?!?! I was needless to say shell shocked when my waitress placed the plate on the table. This thing looks like if a fat kid was back there in the kitchen and made this plate for themselves to eat. (I’m fat, always have been. I can say that.) El Sombrero is going on my “Places I Frequent” list. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Fajita Nachos

Absolutely love this place. Went there on a Thursday lunch around 11:45 for a first visit having passed this place by for years. Their chips and salsa are bomb. Their lunch specials are great and they don’t skimp on the taco beef during lunch service. Red sauce for the cheese enchilada is flavourful and not overly salty or spicy. Staff members are friendly and attentive. Frozen margs are among the best I’ve had. Only gripe is I have to cross the awful railway tracks to get there but it’s well worth running the gauntlet 👍 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This place is pretty good in terms of wait time. The food was okay, but not extremely memorable. The waiter was nice and took our orders/brought our orders to us very fast. This is a good Mexican restaurant to stop by if your on the way to Saginaw, but not to go out of your way for having. Yum. This was the first time eating at El Sombrero off Saginaw main. The service was great and very friendly. The portions are huge and so delicious. Can you say Cheesy? We ordered the Chicken Flautas which were crispy and seasoned just right. The chimichanga was the size of my hand which aren’t small at all. And you know what they say about large hands… you can use them as a ruler for size comparisons. The enchiladas were phenomenal but a little on the greasy side. Overall, great lunch that left us with some left overs. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

You'll drive right by it if you're not paying attention. It is before the big smiley face. The food was good. You can tell that it's authentic food but the environment isn't the same. Sombrero all over the place but the place is so freaking cold and even the table behind us said the same. The food was warm and good but the service was mediocre. The host lady for curbside/order ahead was always on her phone. The lady who sat us down didn't know the menu or happy hour. Happy hour is only .50c off of beer and margaritas. I would probably come back hoping that the service was better but I wouldn't go out of my way.
