El Ranchero is a great place to grab some authentic Mexican cuisine. Service a bit impersonal - almost like we were somewhat of an inconvenience, yet it was just my husband and myself. Don’t let our experience stop you from trying the delicious food they plate up. Yummy! Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

The tortilla chips were fantastic. I loved the spicy salsa that came with them. Everyone working there was very helpful, we got our food quickly and the beans were great, the rice was fluffy and satisfying, all in all, a pretty good experience. I was honestly surprised there weren’t more people there, it was very satisfying! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

On any other given day I'd give this place a 10 star review. Love the food an generally the service is amazing! I understand we all have our moments and days but the waitress this morning was completely out of control attitude heavy footed short with you and gave me food no silverware ignored me when I asked. The two ladies that were working were very unwelcoming and I was not the only customer to fill that way the poor people behind me had worse spilled salsa all over her. I eat here 3 times a week and now I'm questioning if I'll be back..
This place has the best tortilla chips ever, the salsa was great as well. I had the flautas and they had amazing flavor and all meat 😋 just the way I like it, no fillers like potatoes and carrots. Refried beans and rice were so good. The service was great very friendly and attentive. I gave a 4 star only because I was taken back by the green sauce served with my flautas was cold it just didn't go with my meal. However I explained that to the server and she brought me a side of warm sauce and it was perfect, I don't know why the first was cold. Other than that we will be going back and I will just ask for warm sauce next time.
Good food and great prices! Super large portions. I was impressed with the authenticity of the place, which was honestly unexpectedly good. Service was prompt, if not the friendliest. Plenty of seating indoors and everything was clean! Enchiladas verdes were superb. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

A great, and authentic place. The evening I dropped in was quite busy and our dinner took quite a while to come out. By a while I mean over 40 minutes. If it wasn't for that, I'd give 5 stars. Staff was great, and so was the food, once it arrived. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

When it gets busy, service gets slack. Get there early and you'll be fine. Menu is generally robust with an item or two I can't recommend. I'm still going back till I home in on my perfect dish. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant for now. Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

I enjoy El Ranchero. I like to order the El Ranchero burrito with chicken or the two chicken tacos with rice and beans. I asked for no onion but got onions in my burrito. The food always comes really hot and tastes really good except the refried beans. They need to add some kind of seasoning to the refried beans. The rice is very tasty and has good texture. It was busy in the restaurant tonight but it didn't take long to get our food. We also ordered huevos rancheros but she brought that out 10-12 minutes after she brought out our other orders. Also, the huevos rancheros came with lots of onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes on top instead of chili Verde pork. Our waitress did a great job. She apologized for the delayed huevos rancheros and assured us it was on its way. She kept out drinks filled and checked on us multiple times. The chips and salsa were good but chips are better when they're fresh and warm. The seats are comfortable and they have plenty of seating inside available. The parking lot has limited parking so overflow parking is in the dirt parking lot to the East of the restaurant. We ordered four entrées and a sprite and the bill was $60. So $15 per entrée is at current market value. The place was clean and maintained to my eye and I did see them sanitize/wiped down ever table after every customer.

Hands down best Mexican in town and one of the best restaurants in post falls period. My wife and I eat here a lot, usually take out but sometimes we sit in. The food is always good, the proportions are big and the staff is the best, everybody there I've interacted with is friendly and helpful and it's clear they are proud of their establishment.
