My food was great, the corn bread was awesome. My lady just didn’t like her fajitas, she said the meat tasted like water. Service was fast and friendly. They also have the best fountain drinks! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Tonight was the second time my fiancée and I dropped in and it seems to get better and better every time. We literally made the drive from St Louis to Mt Vernon to train at Pedigo Submission Fighting (Also an amazing location for anyone interested in jiujitsu/self defense) and stopped by at El Rancherito afterwards. Both times were close to the restaurant closing for the night but service and food was fresh and never felt rushed. I’m originally from Texas with Mexican roots and this place definitely reminds me of my Tia’s home cooking growing up.. I recommend to all in the area to drop in and have a meal..taste is amazing/authentic, service is incredibly fast and always welcoming, prices are good and portions are phenomenal!! Would recommend higher if I could. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Shrimp and Scallops

Our server was so rude from The moment we sat down. We had kids and I think That immediately put him in a bad mood. We got 3 kids meals and then one adult meal and 2 al carte items. 73$ we asked about the bill they didn’t change it. Charged for all the kids drinks and messed up my food talked to me like I was stupid and then still charged for his mess up. We were visiting out of town and I’m so sorry for the people in this town that have to eat there. Hopefully they learn how to hire people with a little more respect for the people who serve their guests. If I could I would leave a 0 rating. Food: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Decided to stop here on an out of town trip. This place was along the route and did not disappoint!! Fantastic food, service, and such a gorgeous and cozy atmosphere. It was not even stressful being there with a toddler and an infant because their service was speedy and the food was great (so no complaints out of the toddler!) The staff was really nice to us too; they saw I had my hands full with my two kids by myself. I hope to go back someday soon and highly recommend this place to others!
