Good place for a tasteful mofongo and other great food to go or dine in.
Bakery side on the downstairs is pretty awesome. Upstairs, highly recommended to order before showing up. We dined in, and it took over 65 minutes just to get 2 chicken fried rice orders and one triplets order. CALL FIRST.
The servers keep messing with the orders. And they didn't care. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
The restaurant is located at a lovely location and it is perfect setting whether for a romantic dinner or a family gathering. The restaurant also offers a very good selection of wines, excellent coffee and pretty views of the town of Coamo and it's surroundings. With that said, the restaurant needs to improve in the service area. Even though we were the second of two small families at the restaurant, it took over an hour for our server to get our order. The first order of drinks took almost 30 minutes to be brought to the table and the appetizers (just 3 orders) arrived from 60 to 90 minutes after they were first ordered). The main plates arrived at intervals and the meats were over-cooked and had slight burned flavor. The one dessert that was ordered was brought wrong and when inquiring to the server she blamed us for the mistake even thought several people at the table heard the server repeat correctly the order when it was first placed. In general, while the service is below par, I would recommend it if you have time to relaxed and enjoy the views and company while waiting. The quality and flavors of the sea food appears to be better than the meats. And for what you get the prices are better as well.
We were in Puerto Rico and near The Village inn hotel they had this place. El punto has a bakery that opens at 0530 for breakfast and sandwiches and The restaurant opens at 11:00 am. We ate breakfast there everyday for 10 days. Love it. Great people and friendly.
