Service was good and fast for a Friday night. Salsa tasted like hominy with way too much black pepper. The beef fajita was bloody but tender that tasted more like a bland steak than fajitas. The refried beans are a strange orange color and have very little flavor of any kind. We ordered a combination plate with three different style enchiladas so we can try all three. The cheese, beef, and spinach enchilada are not worth mentioning. I would never get them again. In fact I would never come to this restaurant again and would not recommend it. We visit many Mexican restaurants as it's my family's favorite choice of food but El Palenque wasn't a tasty place at all. If you're a part of the LGBT community, don't waste your time going. At the very beginning of being there me and my friend received weird stares from the staff that was present. The first waiter came off rude for no reason at all beside he had his on personal issues...... if I could rate it a 0 I would but I will be filing discrimination charges against this establishment, for they are very unprofessional.
