Best local mexican food for dine in or take out…everything on the menu is soo good! Try the aztec soup! Margaritas are so good too
Bad service, the food took a long time to arrive at the table, when we arrived they practically forced us to sit together and when paying we were never asked if we wanted separate accounts and we had a problem paying because of that. The staff who serve the public still have a lot to learn, I worked as a waiter for 4 years and never in my life have I served customers the way they did with us. And all that without talking about the faces they made when we walked in, just because we had work clothes on. Bad, all bad. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Nice Mexican culture cuisine experience with my family. The Loco Mariachi plate was delicious. Amazing Jalapeno mango margarita and to close a unique desert show. Service Dine in Meal type Other Price per person $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Steak
Went here tonight looking for a quick bite. We arrived around 5:30, we asked for a high chair when we walked in, the waitress didn't bring it to the table for almost 10 minutes. We ordered the guacamole and chips, it came out pretty quickly and was very good, although very small portion for the price. We ordered our entrees not long after and it took almost 40 minutes to come out, way too long for us let alone our 19M old. I had the fajitas, they were decent, chicken and steak were overcooked. My husband had the burrito, he said it was good. The waitress was not very attentive especially for how dead the restaurant was at that time. Overall just eh. The guac was amazing but the rest of the food was just decent. Server was very polite but slow to wait on us. It took way too long for our food to come out, maybe around a half hour. Maybe your experience will be better, who knows! I'd hate to have a small business get less business because of a review but I would like them to try better. So El Mariachi, be better. I really enjoyed eating here. My friend and I were looking for a local place in Hampton Bays and we ended up finding El Mariachi. The atmosphere brings out a relatively modern and slightly festive Latin-American feel. We felt comfortable in our booth. We first ordered the Queso Fundido, which was super creamy and flavorful, and had the perfect chip-to-dip ratio. However, after that, things started to go slightly sour. We had to wait a full half hour for our entrees to come. The restaurant was probably slammed due to online orders on a busy weekend, even though the restaurant itself wasn't full. There were 3 different types of enchilada dishes, all with the same ingredients except the sauce (poblano, rojas, zuisas). Our waitress suggested the zuisas. It was delicious and wholesome but was begging for a wedge or two of lime on the side to brighten it. I also got an unwanted bite of chicken cartilage, which almost ruined this dish for me. Otherwise, it would've been a home run. The waitresses were courteous and very helpful (aside from forgetting to refill our water upon request on one occasion). We still wish we had gotten our entrees faster, but it's understandable given the circumstances. Overall, I believe this place deserves a second chance and I would go back, but probably when it's less busy. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5
My recent visit to this restaurant was an absolute nightmare that left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. From the moment I stepped foot into the establishment until I finally managed to leave, everything went wrong, primarily due to the abysmal service and the waitress who seemed completely oblivious to the needs of her customers. We desperately tried to grab the attention of our absent-minded waitress. It was as if she had completely forgotten about our table and was intentionally ignoring us. The lack of attentiveness was utterly disheartening and ruined what could have been a decent dining experience. I have dined at numerous restaurants, and I must say that this was by far the worst service I have ever encountered. The waitress's incompetence and lack of professionalism were astonishing. It is truly disheartening to witness such a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. In conclusion, I strongly advise against dining at this restaurant. The terrible service, combined with the apathetic attitude of the waitress, turned what should have been an enjoyable evening into a disaster. Save yourself the disappointment and frustration and find a restaurant where the staff actually cares about their customers' experience. Attention was awful, worst attention I ever had in my life, waitress took so long, they were mean and rude, not helpful at all. Such a bad attitude. I never had such a bad service before in my life I needed to leave the restaurant. Worst experience ever. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
The food was so fresh and delicious. Authentic Mexican flavor is so hard to find on the island, usually have to drive to Queens. We stumbled upon this place looking for a quick dinner, a little later than usual. The staff is very kind and efficient, the food was absolutely DELISH. We had Tacos and Tostadas. the beef was flavored to perfection and was tender, the avocado was creamy and fresh. House made guacamole and salsa were absolutely delicious. overall great experience. Was looking for a fast place to have something quick to eat. This place hit the spot. Its a small well decorated place to enjoy. The service was great on my 2 occasions there. The tacos were delicious and the tostadas too! The guacamole is the best so delicious. The portion sizes for the price is reasonable as well. Highly recommend this place.
