This is a Hidden Gem! The fresh bakery item they have are big in size compare to everywhere else and it is only $1.25 per item.
They tasted fresh, not over sweet; definitely authentic Latin America.
The cashier only know some English, if you have questions maybe better have some speak Spanish or bring google translate!
They take all credit above $5 total.
Right next door is their restaurant, I love their tacos but I don’t recommend the taco Tuesday tacos; as they are cheaper so are the quality. Order yourself a Cubana sandwich, you won’t regret it!
Overall a must go in greater harrisburg area!

Great store attached to it. Wide variety of beverages (non alchoholic). Family run business. Great food. Prices are similar to other area restaurants. Cute decor with 6 booths. Plenty of parking.
I am ashamed to admit I don't go here very often. I am unsure why because every time I have a meal from El Gallito I am amazed at the quality and quantity of the food I am given. I believe my first time I just stuck mainly to finger foods so this time I branched out and tried a torta...not just any torta, the Cubana! I thought the price was steep, but I like my Cubans, so I ordered it...it IS massive! I wish I had taken a picture before I started eating it, because I just couldn't stop and it's already half gone!
Didn't try the food and don't think I will either because if it's anything like the "Agua de Horchata" that I drank it was horrible. I think they used tap water to make it. And tap water is really bad for your health just Google it.
Muy bein!!!! Absolutely wonderful!! Great place to shop! They have all the items that I couldn’t find at the grocery store! I lived in Texas most of my life and down there I could find anything I wanted in the grocery store, but here in Pennsylvania they do not offer any truly authentic Mexican items that I would want to cook with! But at El Gallito I found everything that I wanted and needed! The people that work there are extremely helpful and they are very nice! I recommend this store to anyone who wants authentic Mexican products at a reasonable price!
Real Authentic Mexican Food!!!! Ever since I have moved back to Pa from Texas, I have not had REAL Mexican food! Then I found El Gallito! Now I buy everything I can here! Let me also tell you and those of you who read my reviews now that I have been a chef and meat cutter for over 25 years, well El Gallito has fresh meat that looks magnificent! The meat is cut to perfection, and always looks great! And they had tripas! I just couldn’t believe it! Do you know how long I’ve been trying to find tripas! So I shop regularly at El Gallito because #1 their meat is fantastic, #2 their prices are reasonable, and the people that work there are great! I recommend that y’all try this store out!
