Wonderful little spot for your mexican food fix! Although the place is not that big, it makes up for it in tasty food! The place was nice and clean. Service was good. It was seat yourself and grab your own drink out of the cooler. I liked that idea. The food was the definite star! To start, just the chips and salsa were some of the best I have had. The burrito I had, with beef tongue as the meat, was excellent. I wish it would have come with some side like refried beans or something, but it was still good. My culinary companions both thought their meals were excellent. So glad we stopped and will definitely be going back. Do yourself a favor and give them a try! Pretty good Mexican and central American food. First place I've found in Virginia with gorditas and papusas. Both were good but not great. The gorditas were a little greasy and crisper than I'm used to. They do make their own tortillas and those were very good. Hands down the BEST in LYH. A taste of true authentic Mexican food. Order the Chips and Salsa. YOU’RE WELCOME. The homemade tortillas are like my grandma used to make. Flautas, baleadas, estofada, popusas are delish and don’t get me started on the caldo de res. Check em out! Ps. Worth the price point when you’re getting the real deal.
