A co-worker recommended we eat at El Bohio during a vacation to Puerto Rico. We were staying at the Hyatt Regency in Rio Grande so it was a 40 minute drive. It was 100% worth it!! We were so impressed with the quality of the food and the impeccable and friendly service!! We ordered lobster tacos (which are closed then deep fried) as an appetizer. We ordered two not realizing the portions were huge!! Keep this in mind because then we ordered the whole fried snapper!! They bring the freshly caught fish table side so you can pick which one you’d like them to prepare for you! We ordered two sauces on the side, the garlic and red sauce. They were both delicious, but I’d say the garlic sauce was the winner!! We also ordered a side of rice and beans, and the beans were so flavorful! This was an excellent restaurant in Fajardo and is directly next to the kayaks that take you out on the bioluminescent bay. Stop here for dinner before or after you kayak because it is absolutely worth it!! I’d recommend sharing as the portions are huge. Also, this was our mistake, but the price next to the snapper said $22 which we were very impressed with. However, it is $22 per lb, so just as an FYI!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Finally visit this place that was recommended a very long time ago and besides been in the area in several occasions never decided to enter. Has to said: what we missing!! It’s a small but cozy place, the staff was amicable and the food:amazingly good!!! My wife said that her garlic sauce shrimp was the best ever tasted in a long time. My round pieces of fried fish (captain) was perfectly fried, well seasoned and very tasty. But, the star of the night was the coconut “arepas” sweet with a hint of anisette (anis) was so good that we buy a dozen to go( they sell it at $7 the dozen) I give the star based in the food and in this occasion their food value 5 star. Tip: if planning to visit at night, try to dine inside not outside (mosquitos) Highly recommended. Amazing food and outstanding service! My husband enjoyed the red snapper ( fried) with coconut arepas and I had the lobster in butter sauce with the coconut arepas. The passion fruit mojito is a MUST! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We ordered as appetizer the Fish Soup and it was very good. The Plantains with Lobster the Plantains were ripe therfore tasted very Sweet. I ordered the fish Snapper was incredible with Mofongo was again not the best. We also had Mofongo with Lobster, again plantains to Sweet and Salsa Criolla to Sweet. I l LOVED the Fish!!! Also they have Desert of Coconut and Pistacho excellent. Drinks were soft so I Reccomend Beer. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

While in Fajardo this is the hidden gem. Our waitress Isa was so sweet and helpful with all our questions. We had the fish tacos. We were amazed by the portion and taste! The octopus and conch cocktail were excellent. The portions did not disappoint. It’s our new spot and hope to share when family and friends come to visit. Fantastic spot. I wanted to grab some dinner before my Laguna Grande tour and saw the reviews for El Bohío and decided that was the place. I was not disappointed. The server was lovely, recommended a great drink the bartended makes, and let me know that you could mix seafoods. I got the conch, lobster, and octopus al ajillo with sweet plantains and it was great. Highly recommend. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5

Wonderful food. Our fishing guide recommended we bring our catch here and they treated it well. We also ordered several sides and appetizers to share. They were great! If you sit outside on a call evening mosquitos can be quite problematic here. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We caught a red snapper and took it here for dinner. They did a wonderful job preparing and we loved their side dishes. Do not miss the fried coconut bread, one of our favorite foods in PR. The nice staff and quality of food are what makes this place a standout!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
This is a must if you are in Fajardo. Great food. Fresh. Quality. Friendly service. Family owned and operated. We have visited several times and it’s always a smash. Authentic cuisine. Cooked to perfection. You may want to sit inside as mosquitos can be pests in the evening, but spray some “OFF” on those exposed body parts and go check this place out. I love it. It definitely gets my stamp of approval and recommendation. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
