What is not to love/like about this place?! It's full of stories and delicious fried chicken, just wow so good! Full of flavor, not dry at all. The fried okra is just as good. I like the simplicity of the menu. The staff working is so friendly and helpful, you can see the enjoyment from working there in the faces of the employees. The bathrooms were clean. Yes, it's an older establishment, and booth seats are a bit worn down especially the one I sat in. Plenty of parking. Don't wait too long to visit and eat this delicious fried chicken! My third time to come in and I know will be back :) Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Eischens Famous Whole Fried Chicken

For those who don’t already know, Eischen’s is the oldest bar in Oklahoma. It was first opened in 1896. If you’ve never been here, don’t come in expecting anything fancy. They don’t even have plates. Your “plate” is a white square of butcher paper. The menu is limited. I mean like really limited. Sides, as most of us think of them, are basically nonexistent. They don’t even serve fries. Also, if you’re looking for “beer from here,” this isn’t your spot. There are no local craft brews on tap. The beer list, much like the menu, is severely limited. There is only a small selection of ho-hum mass market beers available. My wife and I started with some chili cheese nachos. They were exactly like what you would expect to find at a minor league ball game. Tortilla chips topped with lots of fake liquid cheese and canned chili with beans. After experiencing everything I’ve described above, I was at a loss as to why the place was so busy. And then our chicken arrived. If you like crispy, old school fried chicken, this may be the best you’ll ever have. It was fantastic. Oddly, it was served with pickles, onions and wonder bread. I wasn’t really sure what to do with all of that, so I just focused on the chicken and its otherworldly flavor. This place is a must-do if you like fried chicken. If not, you may want to pass. The chicken they are serving now are super tiny pieces. The 2 of us ate the whole chicken when we usually take home 4 pieces. Not impressed that the prices go up and the pieces get smaller. The breaststroke looked like tiny thighs Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Over been to this place so many times over the years and it never gets old! They have a small menu but that's what you do - keep it small and do what you do best! The fried chicken is top notch and never had a bad experience. I do like that they are more having you wait to be seated! In years gone by you would have to wait and hover around a table prior to getting seated. Not sure when they started using credit cards but that is now an option. However, we always take cash. The atmosphere is great, old fashioned feel to the place. I heard this was the best fried chicken in Oklahoma, so I had to see for myself. Upon arriving, it seemed parking was pretty decent. The building is older and honestly, I want sure where the entrance was. Once inside, the interior pretty much matched the outside (aged), but it was clean. The waitress was on top of her job. If I'm being picky, though, she never introduced herself - which is big for me, but not for most people. The menu is on the napkin holders. That shows you how small the selection is. We got the frito pie and the fried chicken. The frito pie was just fritos and some chili and cheese on top. We were not impressed by that dish at all. However, the fried chicken was amazing! It just may be the best fried chicken in Oklahoma as advertised! The prices were a bit hefty, but checking out their chicken is a must! Absolutely delicious! We always order the whole chicken and a side order of fried okra. The chicken is juicy and tender. The crust is outstanding. The okra is perfectly cooked. Included with the dinner comes a dish of pickles and onions. The onions and pickles are sweet. The service has always been fantastic. We always order carry out and have never had a problem with the order being done correctly. Eischens is a must do and a great place to take out of town guests to eat. Two of us sat at the bar and ordered the whole chicken. Delicious and the okra is crispy. The onion and pickle tray features onions soaked in white wine vinegar which gives a unique taste! Good! Bread and butter pickles and dill are provided. The staff are SO friendly and helpful. If you've never been.....you are missing a great time! You get a while cut up fried chicken and it is 1 of the best fried chicken I've had, and definitely the best in Oklahoma. The fried okra is also the best I've had, crispy and tasty. I'll definitely make the drive there again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

🐔 Eischen's Chicken is not just a restaurant; it's an experience steeped in history. As the oldest bar in Oklahoma, the atmosphere is rich with a sense of tradition that you can feel the moment you walk in. Although the original establishment burned down, the new-ish location has done an incredible job of preserving its storied past. One of the highlights is a section of the original bar, hand-carved in Spain in the early 1800s, which serves as a captivating focal point and conversation starter. But let's not forget the star of the show: 🍗the chicken. Juicy, succulent, and irresistibly delicious, it's no wonder people come from all over the world to taste it. The drive is more than worth it for this world-class fried chicken. Eischen's is a must-visit for both food enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Five stars aren't enough! Honestly it's Rizz-ilicious!
