We had a horrible experience waiting for a table on Saturday 2/24/2024 and because of it I will not return to this establishment. Obviously I am aware they our busy on Saturday mornings but I was told the wait would be 30 minutes for our table for 2. You are even able to see your place in the que online. After 45 minutes and seeing larger parties that had checked in after us being sat and our que online sitting at "1 table ahead of us" for 10 minutes I inquired what the hold up was. I found out that there are actually 6 tables still ahead of us and we probably still had another 20 minute wait. The reason I was given was that "big parties had shown up." So if you are a table for 2 be prepared to be bumped for larger parties. We had a busy day planned and we didn't have 45 minutes to waste as this restaurant and be mistreated. Egg Harbor is phenomenal!!! The servers and host / hostess are always extremely friendly and eager to welcome and serve guests. Egg Harbor is extremely conscientious of food allergies and has dedicated griddles for gluten free food. The quality of the food is outstanding!! Absolutely everything tastes delicious and are cooked well with high quality ingredients. A perfectly passable breakfast place. Omelet was as expected and pancakes were just fine. Wish they had a vegetarian meat option. Fruit side was lame, junk fruit with one blackberry on top and one blueberry. If you’re going to tell customers the fruit comes with berries, you’re going to have to do better.
