The Great Chicken Fried Steak Tour of 2024 - Part 2 Now, we're talking. Today brought me to Eatzi in Plano, Texas for their Wednesday special aka the Chicken Fried Ribeye dinner. Eatzi is a "European-style eatery where every day is another chance to indulge in great chef-crafted meals!" I'll be honest; I never knew this European style eatery had such delicious chicken fried ribeye steak dinners, but I was quite intrigued once it was recommended to me to try. When you walk in, it's a cross between a European style market with its grand selection of meats and cheeses and breads and cookies and just all manner of items available for purchase. They also happen to have a couple of kitchens where they cook food fresh daily. I saw everything from brisket quesadillas to little sliders with pimento cheese on them and yes on Wednesdays they offer chicken fried ribeye steaks. I got this chicken fried ribeye steak complete with green beans and mashed potatoes and first of all everything tasted very fresh. The green beans had a snap and were very crisp as if they had just picked them from a garden out back and seasoned them with some butter and some garlic and some bacon and salt and pepper. The mashed potatoes were definitely homemade right there in-house with what seem to be red potatoes and some butter, garlic, salt and pepper. The chicken fried ribeye steak itself was definitely a steak that had been hand pounded out, battered, and then fried in a pan. This did not come out of the bag, nor was it brought in from a supplier or what not. The ribeye steak was definitely a ribeye steak and it was quite delicious and marbled with the signature fat a ribeye would have. This was not a formed and shaped patty by any means and it was fried up to a nice golden crisp. The seasoning in the batter was perfectly peppered. The gravy which I'm assuming was also handmade in the store was also nicely salted and peppered and went great with the chicken fried ribeye and the mashed potatoes. Overall, I'm going to give this chicken fried ribeye steak dinner a 9.3 out of 10 with the only thing keeping it from being a 9.5 being the price which was right at $20. I have a feeling I'm going to find other very good chicken fried steak dinners out there that might come in a buck or two under this but we shall see! Either way, when it comes to chicken fried steaks - now we're talking. I highly highly recommend the chicken fried ribeye steak available on Wednesdays from Eatzi at your location of choice!

Love this place since day one, hope they bring back the pizza they had on sale. Their pastry is highly recommended as we don’t have many good french pastry in Dallas

10/10/2023: Eatzi’s has a lot of great, tasty food. Don’t expect cheap prices, but the quality is nice. The employees last night weren’t the most friendly/jovial. Maybe it was just an off day.
My visit to this establishment came with certain expectations due to its reputation, and I found the place to be charming and inviting. The ambience was cozy, yet it did pose a challenge with its indoor seating primarily comprising high bar stools that lacked substantial table space. This arrangement left those below a certain height (i.e., children) unable to comfortably and securely occupy a seat. While the outdoor area provided ample seating, the sweltering 100-degree weather rendered it less than practical for dining. Regrettably, what truly left a lasting impression was the sensation of being nickle and dimed, the eating area had nothing other than napkins, It seemed as though the establishment held reservations about allowing patrons to access rudimentary necessities independently. This contrasted sharply with the approach of a place like Whole Foods, where the dining section is thoughtfully stocked with an array of amenities, including high-quality cutlery readily at one’s disposal. The disparity in this regard was striking, as it felt burdensome and uncomfortable to continually seek out rudimentary items to complement our meal. Not to mention the cost of food is vastly higher than that of Whole Foods. While the food itself proved satisfactory and the sandwiches were enjoyable, the overall experience left a lingering unfavorable impression upon our departure.

The place to go for a bakery as this is their core business. They also offer prepared meals, we went for breakfast and they made every dish right in front of us so we knew that it was fresh. They also have a good selection of wine. There's a small seating area indoors and also outdoors. An ideal place for groups to meet.

This place is amazing for yourself, team , group or family meals. I love grabbing “fast” food here because I know the quality and food is going to be delicious. Also, if I have to bring a “dish” or “beverage” to an event I know that it will be available and everyone will enjoy. Plus, if I do not want to make dinner then I know I can go here and satisfy everyone and get a great drink. Some people may not about the red dot sale which they place on sale the last 15 minutes of store closing which is awesome for the late nights working. The General Manager, is always at the front or walking around to make sure all the customers are happy. thank you as always
High grade ingredients = Great food! Meals to go! Had some sushi here with my girls and it was great! It’s a little bit on the expensive side.
Beautiful bakery with a small eating area and a coffee stall inside. You get really nice options of fresh breads , bakery good. Fresh made pasta and different spreads . Prices are decent for fresh and authentic product you get. Tried mocha and sun dried tomato pasta sold by weight and it was awesome.

Quaint little shop but quite busy. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was full of people but we still had the chance to get some good photos and show what this store has to offer. The prices are a bit much on some things and reasonable on others. The cheese selection is impressive!! We bought some champagne and some finger foods and we were very pleased. Check this place out and enjoy some speciality finds!
This place is like a gourmet food heaven. Fresh, Inviting, and absolutely delightful. Well prepared food choices and desserts!!! The staff is beyond helpful and checkout was easy considering how busy it was during my visit. Definitely one of my faves to visit
