We got our order to go. For my husband, he ordered a pastrami on rye, and it came with chips and a pickle spear. For me, I got the Carolina with no tomato that came with chips and a pickle spear. He got a bottled Sprite, and I got a bottled Coke. I also asked for a salted caramel brownie, which was in a glass case by where you entered the line. The order came out after we were sitting at a booth waiting for about eight to ten minutes. I used the bathroom during the wait, which required a code. I get it, you're trying to cut down on homeless people using the facilities, but this was ridiculous when I had to wait behind two people to get the code from the cashier and nearly had an accident. FYI, I'm homeless, too. I used your bathroom. If I had been embarrassed by having an accident due to my medical issues, I would have taken to every media and social media outlet I could have. Just because my husband and I didn't appear as disheveled as some, everyone deserves respect and consideration. When we got our order, the brownie we ordered and paid for wasn't in the bag. The cashier said, "Oh, you didn't get it? I thought I saw a brownie on your table." How are you going to try to accuse people of trying to get something for free that they paid for? We couldn't have gotten to the brownie unless we were somehow able to reach through glass or if we went behind the counter. So much for "customer service." Don't argue with me when we didn't get the item at all. They had brookies and cookies on the counter, not the salted caramel brownie that I asked for and paid for. While the sandwiches were okay, the lack of condiments on them made them lackluster. Condiments were on the tables but not offered in packets. Pickle spears were stale. My sandwich tasted very much like the same utensil used to spread peanut butter was used to spread the avocado spread or cut the sandwich. They also charge a 3% fee for using a card, and then they ask for a tip. We could have made better at home for over $40. This experience was awful. We won't be going back. We placed a catering order for Thursday afternoon and there was an issue between ordering and delivery. Long story short, the order was never received or prepared when I showed up to pick it up. Instead of the staff (who was severely understaffed) telling me “sorry we don’t have it, bye” they rushed and busted their tails to get it done. All while still having a lunch rush and incredibly rude customers demanding their food despite seeing they had 4 total employees and about 20 food tickets in the queue. I really appreciate and respect them working hard to make it right for us. Food: 4 Service: 5

I ordered my food before the lunch rush, and waited nearly 40 minutes to get my order. By then, I had to run back to my car to get back to work (I was unable to check my order). I requested no cheese on my gluten free sandwich and a plain baked potato. Got back to my desk, and everything was covered in cheese and ham. I have dietary restrictions, so I was not able to eat my $23 meal. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

My husband and I were at Soda City and out of all the food trucks we passed, we decided to go sit down and spend our money with East Bay Deli. The menu had several options and I had questions. The guy at the register seemed disturbed, so we decided to sit down and look at the menu. I decided on a half soup, half sandwich. We placed our order, paid and waited 20 minutes for a half roast beef sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup for me/ hotdogs and fries for my husband. I asked for the roast beef to be hot, the bread sliver of roast beef that I received under the abundance of lettuce had no flavor, no mayo or mustard and was cold after a 20 minute wait. The broccoli cheddar soup was amazing and was the only highlight of the experience. After sitting and eating for 15 minutes, I asked one of the employees (who told me that I had to build my own sandwich for the half deal) if I could have the code to use the bathroom. She told me I had to make a purchase first. I advised her that I had been in her line about 30 or more minutes ago, placed an order, paid and waited 20 minutes for the slack or then sat at a table in front of the register eating for the past 15 minutes. Now I don't usually play the race or discrimination card, but I really felt it at that moment. In the future, I will purchase food from one of the trucks and eat in the cold before I spend another dime at East Bay Deli...UPDATE, EasyBay Deli replied to my review and. told me to reach out to them by email, I did 2 weeks ago and haven't heard a word back. I guess they wanted to appear to care to the public...@eastbaydeli... I sent an email to the address you provided on 02/01/24, as of today 02/18/24 I have received no response. I guess I'll update this review every 2 weeks until I get one since this is where you seem to respond. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
This place absolutely is trash! Came at 11:30 it wasn’t even busy ordered a Ceaser salad and it took 30 minutes to finish. The chick came out looking burnt, and after my first bite I find a hair in my salad. My friend was still waiting for his chef salad at this time which never came to the table. I took mine up to the counter and politely asking for a refund. The manager then comes to the register with an attitude giving my friend and I a hard time about trying to get our refunds. Keep in mind him not the other cook had a hair net or anything else on. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Recommended dishes Salad

My work decided to treat us to lunch today from East Bay Deli. I got a side salad with my wrap and most of the lettuce was turning red and wilted so I didn't even eat it. The Caesar chicken wrap had no dressing so it was unbearably dry. The only thing I was happy about is that it wasn't my money that paid for it. Gross.
I got a marinated chicken salad it was huge got dinner for tonight. But I must say the vibe was great they were genuinely friendly & seemed happy to serve us which is rare these days. I think her name was Sheila. Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Salad
